I don't think he was blaming the players for the numbering issue. But he is right in stating that people are quick to make mountains on here out of relative molehills. Even when everything goes right, there's usually someone nitpicking about one tiny, insignificant detail.

My apologies. Without the comment I made about some people wanting everyone to be rainbows and sunshine, it's still a valid point that WRG/TP/DB were the ones to make big deal about MACO Mayweather being #1000, then they messed it up. Even if you d not count the upcoming Event Crew, who are already in Dabo, Mayweather is at least #1001. The company doubling down and making Shan say that he IS #1000, when he clearly is not, just shows them sticking to their guns. Even when they are incorrect. If they'll "die on that mountain", what can we expect when they make a huge mistake?

In the grand scale of things, which crew is #1000 really isn't a big deal. And it's certainly not worth stressing out over.
Perhaps.....the actual 1000th isn't a actual crew but rather a special commemorative avatar such as Number 1? There were reports of this being seen.
Ben had them play 20 Questions to guess it was MACO Mayweather months ago. They scheduled it wrong, because of how the event hub now causes crew to appear in the Vault early and they didn't adjust for that.
