Event Storyline Never Appeared

For this last event, the rerun of A Brute Squad, the event dialogue/storyline never popped up for me. It went directly to the shuttle missions faction screen. I even tried restarting twice, but the story dialogue never showed. So I just went agreed and played the faction missions, gaining at least a sense of what was going on.

Then today, at the end, I was hoping for some closure - but no. Tapping the button to finish the event, it went straight to my rewards, no storyline at all!

I find this really aggravating, because I primarily enjoy the storylines in the game. Any help is appreciated.

This event never had a story, it's pretty old and that specific one was made without narrative.
