But one thing I must disagree with is your emphasis on Events - and your statement that everyone places an emphasis on the events. I don't. Not in the least. I put the LEAST emphasis on events when deciding crew.
Since 2016 I've gone for the top 1500 exactly ONCE. And didn't make it. That was 3 years ago. Most events I play to threshold then I'm out. And for a lot of the events, I don't even bother with that. I didn't start playing this game to compete with others. That's not why I play. I could care less what anyone does in any events.
You'll get to the threshold much more efficiently if you use proper event and bonus crew. There's plenty of times when I only go for the threshold but I always thaw out the 4* for the event (except for Skirmishes).
This is an idea I don't have time to execute myself, but I'll share for someone who might be invested enough to explore it: it would be interesting to break this into weekly topics, asking players to list their top 5 (in order) cards based on things like: art, event, gauntlet, shuttles, voyages, general use, arena, missions, etc.
Top position card gets 5 points, 2nd position gets 4, etc. Add up the points after the week and take the averages to see where cards score.
Then after all the weeks, combine up the averages to see who rounds it out.

That was a missed opportunity. You could have said “Gary Seven, I use him Seven days a week.”
