Still with this "Century" naming convention. I guess we just have to get use to this odd word choice.
But bringing the Xindi-Aquatics into the game is a nice balm; and it's looking like a really good Dip shuttler too (base is 1300+).
The naming bugs me, too. I am surprised they doubled-down on it after "Century Nurse Crusher". I just assumed it was supposed to be something like "19th Century..." but they realized they couldn't start a name with a number, couldn't get around it and just lopped it off at the last minute. But if they're doing it again maybe it was (mind-bogglingly) intentional? Or they made the same mistake twice.
1701 Sisko, Dax, and Bashir would like to have a word with you. (Also 23rd Century Martok, and I'm sure several others...)

That is not what bugs me. What bugs me is that she is not a physician. Makes it a lil harder to use her in voyages and another physician would be greatly helpful to finishing the expanded physician collection. Nurse makes sense for the episode but physician would be helpful. She was after all a physician in disguise as a nurse.
She was diagnosing patients and acting as a medical examiner (always a doctor) too. Physician would make as much sense as nurse. You could tell she hated being the nurse. GMcF nailed it.

Excellent news on the Guinan. That's two crew from Time's Arrow in the last two months.
Maybe a collection soon?
Sounds good, but I would very much like a Samuel Clemens. I love Mark Twain books and short stories. I would work hard for that event.
**slams fist onto the table**
You all are really missing the obvious: I demand a 1* Data's Head!
LOL! I just last night watched the episode where Riker had to detach Data's head and hook it up to the computer so he could save the ship.
Yeah, Disaster gave me this idea when I rewatched it a few weeks back. But there are two different times that Data was just his head: the quantum filament episode but also as a historical artifact in Time's Arrow. Honestly, I could see either being a 1* card with just Eng as the trait. Put it in the Honor Hall, next to Stargazer Picard, same price, and I'd be happy, happy. Just need a 3* Operations Data in the Se 3-7 uniform and he'd have cards in all five rarity levels.

Wasn’t she more of a counselor?
That's always been my understanding. And a psychologist/psychiatrist is not the same as a physician.

A psychiatrist is also a physician (or at least here in Italy you have to complete your medical studies before you specialize as a psychiatrist and therefore all psychiatrists are also officially registered as physicians).
I think the argument is based on the fact that in her conversation with Lorca she basically says that she's a doctor, which would be weird if she was a psychologist or counselor only. I think this varies from place to place, but at least in the 3 or 4 European countries that I'm familiar with psychologists and counselors don't refer to themselves as doctors (nor are they allowed to).

Yep, if she is a psychiatrist, she's an MD. A psychologist is not. A psychiatrist can prescribe medications, refer to other MDs, etc. A psychologist can't.

Here, there are several things you can get a doctorate in. Education for example. Dr. Smith, the educator for example, is a very far cry from a physician. Counselor Troi certainly showed no indication of having any actual physician ability. Having the MED skill, yes of course, but physician trait is a whole other ballgame.

No one is talking about phds. Psychiatrist's go to medical school and earn an MD. That is the same school and classes as any other medical doctor. After medical school a psychiatrist does a psychiatry residency just like a cardiologist does a cardiology residency and a neurologist does a neurology residency. Until they start their residency they are all trained exactly the same and then they specialize in a type of medicine just like every other medical doctor.

Looks like @Banjo1012 was speaking to a cultural difference mentioned by @Emperor Borg Drone (AR) . In some countries, it appears that only medical doctors are allowed to use the title doctor. Many US college professors use the title Dr. It's not completely impossible that Cornwell has a PhD in psychology. I would tend to hope that not to be the case, but I have very little confidence in Discovery writers when it comes to technical nuance such as this. In fact, I think they're the least knowledgeable of any Trek series when it comes to science or any sort of nuance. They can tell some good, engaging stories, but they also have their failings.

It's very likely that in the episode they were referring to doctors as physicians though, given the context. I honestly can't remember the exact dialogue, but when she urges him to seek treatment for his eyes, Lorca tells her that he doesn't trust doctors and she's a bit offended about it, being a doctor herself. It seems obvious that they're talking about physicians and not people with a PhD.
Anyway, it doesn't bother me too much that she doesn't have the physician trait, since that's obviously not her job anymore at the time of DISCO season 1. I'm a lot more bothered by the fact that she doesn't have "Survivalist" when a lot of other cards have it simply because the characters proved tough to kill in their respective episodes

Can’t start a name with a number? All the cards that have names starting with “1701” would like a word.
Since we got onto a tangent about Cornwell... does anyone else find it odd that we only have a Prisoner version of her in the game? She's been in more episodes than Adira, Booker, or Reno, and had a rather significant final appearance.

A second copy would be nice, but her appearances count is close enough to Adira, Booker, and Reno that I wouldn't make too big of a deal out of it. And most of the time she was just being an Admiral. Admiral Forest was in more episodes than any of them and we only have 1 version of him. Admiral Ross was in just as many episodes as Cornwell and we only have 1 version of him too.

I'd love a tactical version of her from the end of season 1. It's true that in season 2 she was just a background presence getting ready to be fridged, but in season 1 she had quite a few relevant moments, both for the plot and from the point of view of character building. The version we have is the most memorable, but a 4* from one of the final episodes when she takes command of the Discovery would be cool too
(Just taking over Colli's pic, because I'm too lazy to search for one myself )
I don't think it's a big oversight by any means. I just think you've got some options there, whether it's the Tactical version suggested by EBD above or even a garden variety Admiral Cornwell.
As for the comparisons, Ross was in a lot of episodes, but I have a tough time thinking of him ever being outside his office or a conference room. Forrest made an appearance in the Mirror universe, so you've got a potentially fun option there.
Did I miss something... is there a reason the Xindi aquatic has not been added to the Delphic Expanse collection, along with all other Xindi (and others)?

They rarely add new crew to the novelty collections right away. We'll probably have to wait a little while before it happens.

He has been added to the “Daystrom Award” collection though. The Delphic Expanse is an oversight, hopefully corrected soon.
I don't pop in as often as I once did so I apologize if this has already been brought up somewhere but I would like to either bust out the songbooks or join the choir against the recent trend of only have one faction with only 15 missions and having it always be Federation on Faction events now.

There are two types of collections: trait-based and novelty. From what I've seen, they are programmed differently: the trait-based collections are designed to include every character with X trait, and thus they are dynamic and auto-update. The novelty ones (Delphic Expanse, Big Goodbye, etc) are set around artificial themes and need to be expanded manually. Updating in one and not the other isn't so much an oversight, but rather a natural byproduct of the programming.

This x1000. It makes the events so boring and so stale.

1701 Sisko, Dax, and Bashir would like to have a word with you. (Also 23rd Century Martok, and I'm sure several others...)
She was diagnosing patients and acting as a medical examiner (always a doctor) too. Physician would make as much sense as nurse. You could tell she hated being the nurse. GMcF nailed it.
And while we’re at it, there’s a certain admiral from Discovery who would like a word with the ‘physician trait addition department’

EDIT: It seems to be similar in most places though: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychiatrist
Which makes you wonder what happens to Bluetooth in the furture.
So I guess the question becomes...is Cornwell a trained psychiatrist? I don't remember that being mentioned specifically, but I could be wrong.
Guess my simple **tsk tsk**$ should just stick to delivering pizzas
Ack, you're right! OK, then I have no explanation for such silly names.
Can’t start a name with a number? All the cards that have names starting with “1701” would like a word.
