I am concerned slightly after seeing it. The placement and color could cause accidental purchase. The color of the instant purchase being in dailies and the same color as daily claims may cause some accidental clicketty click click purchases. Should this purchase be in the portal by the credits, or should it be blue like the “buy now” monthly dilithium card that re-directs you to the time portal dilithium section.
At least for me (iOS), like any other purchase there is a confirmation that appears, giving me a chance to cancel if I've accidentally fat-fingered something I didn't mean to.
I see it as that 2x Quantum Pass = 1,000 Quantum gives me an additonal retriveal of a legendary crew of my choice, for 10 bucks total.
That‘s worth to me, since i m sitting on130m credits and i buy add 50 quantum a day for 90 dil as well.
15 add bucks a month won t hurt me and is less than 2 cinema tickets.
But i get as well that for some folks it just isn t worth. Would have been way smarter if they hade made the pass 30 days for 4,99$
instead of 10 only, imho. 🤗
I dont know. I think when you compare 15 dollars for ~1.5 additional crew retrievals per month.....to the value that you get from the $9.99 campaign, its a major league rip off.
I do agree that this price point will be tempting enough for some folks, but I think its going to be a rather slim cut of the player base.

Compared to the campaign value almost every offer is a *** off. 😉

If they are looking to get extra sales from people already buying the 50 quantum/day, then it's an interesting extra. If they're looking to convert people not spending into people buying quantum, then it's a failure.
I hate where it is currently located. Put it in the dilithium store not in my daily missions page where the claim all button should be. That is very annoying.
I won't buy because I am protesting that the company doesn't care about us and still randomly gives rations as a punishment for doing well in a voyage instead of 4* crew.
But if I were inclined to buy anything, this is essentially half a 5* crew for $5. Not a bad deal, if not a great one.
Same price as the Dil pass ... But only gives you 900 Dil worth of goods... As opposed to 3000 Dil worth on the daily ... I unfortunately didn't pay much attention to this at 6 am , guess you live and learn, but it will be my last one ..
FYI, for anyone who cares. I really, Really, REALLY dislike the placement and COLOR of the Quantum button. Please don't train me to clear yellow buttons, and then put a yellow button in an unavoidable position, a button which I will Never push. My borderline OCDness is not handling this well...
Please change the button color to blue like the monthly card. It makes me think there are dailies I didn't finish. (I'm not going to buy it and if I click it by accident, I will obviously not go through with the purchase anyway.)

The accounting is really simple, make it expensive so few people would buy it, more specifically, those one that already have their crew FF, so where is the economic reasoning here?
1 people that really doesn't need more than what he has x$15=$15 or 5/10 people that do not invest much but would go for a $4= $20/$40.
Not much to think about it...

Alternatively 2 people at $15 = $30 vs 7 people at $4 = $28. We don't have the data on big spenders vs small spenders and their price elasticity. Theoretically WRG has that data or at least a better estimate of it than we do. If they think they can make more money targeting the big spenders then it makes sense at least in the short term.
The interesting price experiment I think about is this price vs the price of a campaign. The campaign gives a 4/5 + a citation. Let's ignore the relative value of the crew, cite, or retrieval and call them all equal. So a campaign yields 5x5* for $10. That's a one 5* for $2. Assuming you have the credits and ISM for the polestars you want, you need 900 quantum per retrieval. At $1 for 10 days at 45 quantum/day you get to the same value.
Maybe I'd spend a little more than $1 to get to pick my crew instead of having a specific 5* chosen in the campaign, but the closer the price gets to $10 for a cite, the less likely I would be to buy it. The current price yields $7.2 per retrieval. To be competitive with the campaign it needs to be closer to ~$2.50 per retrieval. Which at the current 50 quantum for 10 days means $1.39 per pass.
Anything in the $1.10 - $1.4 range would get me interested. Anything more and it's an easy pass for low spenders.

The main difference is that in campaign for 10$ you get what you get and cannot chose what you want. With retrieval you get to chose and that is very big factor for price differentiation.

However, Premium Track of Campaign does not just give the Legendary Crew. Five Premium Ten Pulls. Shuttle Boosts, Doublers, and Rentals that can help placement in a Faction Event. Dilithium above the set amount for the money spent.
"The truth is like a lion; you don't have to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself."
Crew retrieval is no guarantee that you get the crew you want. And, a legendary citation cannot be used unless you have the crew you want. But if I spend $10 it would be for a legendary citation not quantum. But, you could always spend on both. Just keep in mind eventually you will not spend on quantum because you will not be able to get the crew you want.

Agreed. No I don't have to cringe every time I go to that screen. (I was regularly swiping the screen to get that button out of view...)
