Any chance of getting some way to sort by most efficient crew to level to make the most progress in either a single or multiple collections? Is it stands, it recommends crew to level, but they're not sorted by the total number of collections they're in, so it's hard to know who to level sooner than others.

Code wise that's very tricky. The crew to level is a very simple calculation but to be more specific would involve sheets skills beyond what I am capable of.
Best for now to look for a collection you have done soonest that has the most stars in other collections. For example Displaced might have crew with traits in other small collections that can also be completed fairly quickly.
