Continuum crew

Alright, I have more or less understood the continuum how and why.
Now which are the best crew for that part of the game ?
I know, some nodes may be unlocked only by specific crew but who are the best crew overall ?

This goes out the window at elite, if you have a crew matching two traits.
Crew with lopsided stats with one very strong skill and 0-2 Weak Ones.
I’m sorely tempted to get a Captain Tribble.
Sometimes Voyage crew will be best because the best Voyagers often have very good bases and very good proficiency.
So far I use :
dip : Acting Captain Arex
sci : Albert Macklin
med : Dr. Hugh Culber
eng : Tribble Herder Scotty
sec : High roller Sisko
com : Mirror Mariner
but they are, at least for some, not the best options for sure.
What are your champions ?
Eng: demo man Scotty
Sec: high roller disco
CMD: pathfinder uhura
Sci: reunion Kirk and Spock
Med: q as god
Chef Pike
Agimus
Pathfinder Uhura
Medic Jett Reno
Vox
Satin Dress Lily
Probably not the most efficient possible combination, but I'm a) working with cards I already have immortalized (total 55) and b) always favoring my best voyagers if I can boost them where they need to be (thus Agimus over Demo Scotty and Reno over McCoy), since I intend to take advantage of those bonuses on voyages when I'm done here. Also, I was looking at where I could get some early "cheap" bonuses when needed due to trait-specific equipment (Lily was great for that).
Some crew can at least provide good stats and good traits. Picard and #1 for example. One node is pretty much optimized for him. However, he still has a lot of different traits and a solid amount of SCI to work with.
I have noticed I’m drifting in the direction of an “A” Team but working on a “B” team with a good alternate set of traits would probably be a good idea.
Security Mok'Bara Worf. He seems to be the best Brutal/Klingon/Security that can be retrieved.
Sisko, The Emissary. The same for Bajoran/Diplomacy.
Maybe Reunion Spock and Kirk for science, I will have to find if there is better.
I'm late to the party having waited until the dust settled to start playing, but I'm finding Reunion S&K very useful. They're also eligible for several decent trait-based bits of SCI Quipment.
It seems single skill crew are the best here. Otherwise I better look at best combined (base + prof) skills crew and select best bases among them.
Anyway continuum is very doable for advanced players.
if you can't clear it on first pass, you still can refresh all rewards for 50 Dil in order to earn 250 Dil as Epic reward.
Since this was a very chaotic first run I can't say if you have to play it 2, 3 or 4 times a day for victory.
I suggested Reunion K&S, I think Surak looks stronger, but less useful traits.
He can use specific science Quipment for being a Vulcan, and also for being a Telepath.

1. Best base + proficiency crew currently in game for each skill (Captain Tribble and the like).
2. Best crew currently in game for a particular node on a mission (Gardner + Veteran is Picard and Number One).
3. Personal best from your crew.
4. Whoever you have Quipment on.
Adding to the mix, each player’s active skill buffs in combination with the fixed value trait boosts mean that “best for node X” will not be the same for each player, and sometimes change between difficulties.
I wouldn’t suggest retrieving/citing/Quiping crew without researching what is best for you because the answers are going to vary quite a bit. If you want to use a moderate amount of Quipment, crew from the first category can blow through most nodes. You can get fairly far if you happen to own many of the crew in the second category. Third and fourth categories: maybe Shinzon is the best you have—if you want to put 4 Quipment on him, he or most other lower ranked crew can still make a showing.
The missions are supposed to change each week, so while Gardner + Veteran is good on a node now, next cycle it may not be helpful. It may not be very beneficial to work on crew in the second category as a result.

And the strongest crew with 3 or 4 quipment can crit without that extra trait bonus.
I would find your best min roll crew for each skill and get them fully unlocked. That will let you cover everything assuming you have the components.
If you want to get fancier look for crew that will have the most specialized quipment with the highest values. But I haven't seen any tool to help search for that yet.
2-3 weeks play initially. It's worth concentrating on a core 6 crew at the moment, ignoring node trait bonuses and going for your six best.
Once they are fully unlocked, then start training other crew.
Using a decent primary security brutal Klingon for security will be better than any security without trait specific gear, even if that other crew matches node traits.
The same goes for Bajoran for diplomacy, if they have other quipment.
Decoy Kira is an option.
Vulcan telepaths are good for science, I don't know if the is a top tier quipment for another trait that would be better.
So there is an ideal set of crew.
Medicine, Bashirs. Alternative Future seems to be the best.
Diplomacy. Bajorans. Sisko, the Emmissary. Decoy Kira.
Exoarchologists. Ent-E Picard and Maid Marion.
Betazoid/Ambassador. Ambassador Troi.
Klingons, Mother or Chancellor L'Rell.
Command Bajoran/Athlete Niners Sisko.
Ferengi/Merchants.
Security Klingon/Brutal/Athlete Mok'Baro Worf
Klingon/Brutal/Hunter Kol of House Kor, Protomorphios Worf.
Engineering Maquis.
Science Vulcan (+Telepath)
Trill
Chef
Pascal (SCI)
McCoy (MED)
Amelia E (ENG)
Capt Tribb (CMD)
HR Sisko (SEC)
Thats my crew, cleared all levels both times.
(Disclaimer: I immortalised her ASAP once she was added because she's my TOS fave and that scene is one of my fave moments for her. May not actually be worth 300k honor just for Continuum Mission purposes.)
I bought Captain Tribble for Continuum purposes.
Uhura at least has some additional utility in FBB although Torres, Phlox and Chapel have since eaten her lunch.
Just stick to select, plus voyage/arena & gauntlet if you want
Eng - Amelia Earhart/Barry Waddle
Sci - Picard #1/Nel Apgar
Com - PW Keiko/Brain Crusher
Dip - P Sato/Scapegoat O'Brien
Med - Cheesecake 7/King Ridley
Sec - Mok Worf/ Valeo La'an
Correct me if I'm wrong
Each skill seems to have two different 5* items that aren't trait-locked. One provides 500 base +(120-210) proficiency, the other 550+(90-180). And all three of them are also eligible for trait-specific Quipment that's relevant to their skill.
Plus their bases are generally so huge that they can get a long way even before any Quipment is added.
Okay, time for change.
Seems most of my first choice crew wont go to full eQuipment (ie only 3/4 slots can be filled) or are not my optimum for the skill.
So here is now the plan :
com : Acting Captain Arex. No need for Captain Tribble and his 300 k honor. Arex will do the job.
sci : Albert Macklin --> Surak
med : Dr. Hugh Culber --> Dr. 'Bones' McCoy
eng : Tribble Herder Scotty --> Demo Man Scotty
sec : High roller Sisko --> Sinister Picard
dip : Mirror Mariner --> Varani
I equipped both items for one skill and only one counted.
Was going to post pic, but I found out I got the wrong item. This has halted my progress. Now that I know I made a mistake, I will be able to progress. Once I have a slot and get the correct item.
Somebody found an ENG crew with more than 4 Quipment slots ?
Demo man has only 4. All ENG crew FE/FF I own have 3 to 4 slots.
Same idea, a MED crew with more than 5 slots to challenge Bones ?
Second thing. Someone found a way to know what a crew not FE/FF can access as Quipment ?
ie which crew is a good candidate to raise for Continuum.
Laborer Spock
Prisoner Paris
Elizabeth Dehner
Most Bashirs
