I opted to semi-boycott the event on this one, so I ended playing at 58k, and I am looking at a 19448 placement, while still taking all the goodies, except for Funny Nose Reed (damn, Jadzia is 1015 SEC with a well built up starbase!). I realize it is semi-relevant, but it might give insight on how many players are actually participating.

As a comparison, 7 hours later 1500 is up to 254,915vp.

Thanks for the updates and for starting the thread!
Must admit I'm beginning to enjoy galaxy events, but grabbing the rewards in after is a big part of that
