I got so used to tapping the app icon and having to remember to keep tapping my screen, because my phone would literally LOCK from inactivity before the app finished loading! You believe that? Now it loads fast enough that it says Play before I even look down to check on the progress. Thank you so much to whatever programmer worked on that!

Also, I had the best Gauntlet round ever this morning and I've yet to go back in but I really hope for more of that. It used to drive me insane. It's not mentioned in the release notes so I don't know if it was a fluke.

So I'm not sure if this is deliberate, but that "11" has disappeared from the galaxy icon. Which I LOVE. Because it was useless and nagged me and I HATE odd numbers. But that being said, it comes back if you have a voyage dilemma and address it, then return to the home screen. So DB can we just get rid of that "11" forever? Thank you!
One major fix for me was the sound effects. They work again! I had no sound effects since the upgrade to v2.0 on my iPad. The only voices were Q in the Gauntlet, and an occasional "Kirk here", usually during a dilemma in a voyage. (Which was also strange since I have NEVER used any iteration of Kirk in a voyage.)
I haven't noticed the speed during start-up (though it really is faster), but the game itself appears to be faster as well: Waiting for recipes, opening Crew overview etc etc.
.. and yes, it's great that I got rid of that Gauntlet "1".

Another one is my fleet has had issues when a Dabo buy does not give the reward. So 2 spins and only one item shows claimed. It may be the case that the item is in their inventory though.
Another one I have seen is while a faster start up, if left logged in for a while the game itself slows down but returns to normal after a restart.
The gauntlet bug was a huge fix personally. I also love being able to have a background radio app continue while playing timelines now.
This update seems to have turned back up the horrible "engine droning" noise -- a problem that was fixed for months, but now I feel like I have to play the game on mute again.

IDW Comics are an official licencee of Trek, like DC Comics 20-30 years ago. DC Comics' TOS/TNG storylines were never classified as fanfic, so IDW's aren't either. Repetition of a statement doesn't make it fact/reality.
As a separate issue, snobs using the word "Fanfic" as a pejorative aren't impressing anyone. I've seen some better written fanfic of a show than actual episodes.

Glad to have the startup time reduced so I can get back in quicker after the ads shut down the app via force close or fade-to-black. Was really hoping those planned ad fixes would show up in this version.
I really love the speed update. I have noticed a bit of lag when you open the gauntlet up, but other than that, it's awesome. And I love not having that stupid notification for ranking 1st in the gauntlet.
