Citation as soon as I could. Shortly after, it was announced that Kahless would be taken off rotation within a month, causing me to do a 20h voyage earlier than planned so I could make it. Not letting us know of the fifth ahead of time/not just giving a gold citation really messed things up.
Any chance M. Picard could grant 50K honor on deletion for about a week?

I would delete both the in mail and my immortal, just to spite myself in the face with 300,000 honor, to use on crew I actually need.
Citation == money. As a citation comes from honor and honor comes from air-locking crew and/or playing daily. Where does crew come from? Portal packs, voyages, events, rarely the dabo wheel, gauntlet, and daily rewards. Most of those cost significant amounts of time which translates out to money or actual cash being spent in game. 50,000 honor means a significant amount of $$$ and/or time was invested by a player. Seeing it wasted at the drop of a hat is infuriating. I love this game, i just hate the way it is handled.
I paid money for the dbl up offer and am considering submitting a ticket. Normally wouldn't get this upset about getting a free 5* even if it is one I've got immortal or paid a dbl up on but because db continues to give legendary crew away for free it devalues the ones I have spent money acquiring.
Bought the double offer to have a 2* share ready for my squadron in week two. That's how it's supposed to work, right?
That is exactly what a sane person who cares about his fleet/squadmates would do. I also did the same after acquiring the first copy of him.
For sure this is what many of us did. Diverted a star away from Mobile Doctor for it.
Purposefully planned the STT journey to immortalize only a few legendaries to avoid duplicates/all-FF begolds, and he's the first immortalized after 10 months of consistent gameplay. I was so excited. For a couple shiny days he represented a fair amount of time and effort investment. Now he's cheapened and represents disconnect and false advertising, and removed from the bridge.
..and won't buy any more offers DB until at least our earned honour is refunded.
(Honour represents real time and $ too; suggestion to modify wording of the poll to reflect this)
For those who already had a fifth star on Picard, how did you get it?
You missed the 3rd option: got a free Picard in email ..
That's how I got my FF ... I was sitting at 4/5* ... so was quite pleased with the email ... (contrary to others feelings ... but I can understand/respect those feelings .. )

It should be a one time thing for deletion. He's still able to get dropped from the bundled event pack that is out right now. Every time deletion would cause massive game abuse with people buying tons of those packs in hopes to delete him for that massive honor boost.

I avoided doing this on all the previous mega-events (in part because I usually have good 4* crew to share) but I did this as well this time around...never again.

Sorry, didn't read the question correctly, nothing to say about this
