As of 1/22/2018 at 8:00 am EST Facebook Gameroom will still not load STT. I have tried on computers with Win 7 and Win 10. The browser and my Android load just fine though.
We can not even get onto the game through Facebook. I use Chrome. Like the majority of most internet users. All you get is the Log in to CS Tools, and then it won't let you log in claiming you have to allow cookies. I did this, and still nothing is happening.
This might be less frustrating if Distributor Beam would post updates on what is going on. Some of us have payed plenty of money to support this game. It would be nice if we got better answer then "summit a ticket" (which has been ignored for 2 days) or "try via Facebook with Chrome or Firefox". These are unhelpful suggestions, and are just making player angry.
We do not have an update yet, otherwise we would have communicated it.
You should not have an issue with Chrome but you will need to allow 3rd party cookies.
Aside from finding the cause of the issue, our goal is to make sure you are aware of the other alternatives available.
Submitting a ticket is also important as it gives us numbers and a way to get back to you once a solution is found.
have re installed gameroom and still nothing !!!

game will not load or even show made with unity
steam take a month to load lost patience with it after 3 hrs

Our Player Support currently does not have a solution for this, except to provide you with alternatives on how to access the game.

There is not requirement to register for anything when submitting a ticket.
You also do not need to verify your email address, you can submit a ticket as a guest but you of course need to provide a valid email address so we can contact you.

kk, i tryed uninstalling FB GR, went and deleated the Facebook folders in the apps folders in local, local low, and roaming where ever they existed, i got nothing but a black screen again after i reloaded it.

nope, i dont get any redirects. FBGR just freezes up on a black screen, have to close it and some times had to use Task Manager to Force Close it.
after trying a few other games with similar results, i would suspect it might have more to do with FB than DB side on this issue. FBGR isn't the most stable app any how.
when using the browser, BLAH, it gets such bit lag during space battles that it some times crashes the browser.
oh and when, my cousin threw his account at me and bailed on the game, i was able to have both Steam and FBGR or FFox browser game open simultaneously with no issues.
Win 10 H, AMD-A6, 8 gig DDR, 1 ter HDD, Firefox.
chrome is add were-virus trash, so no thank you. i will use MS Edge before i use chrome
( an apt name for it. faux thin elecro-plating to hide the trash underneath )
i much prefer the Steam app for stability and less jump.
but FBGR makes an ok backup for when steam if pooched.

We are waiting on final confirmation for Facebook but I also see it fixed on my end.
Once we have the full greenlight from Facebook I will update this thread.
Update: we got words from Facebook that this was solved with a minor issue remaining regarding sound. And they are working on that as quickly as they can.
Please note that if you are using Windows 7 you might need to install .NET 4.5 if you do not already have it.

Yeah once Gameroom updated everything was good, but anyone who hasn't updated Gameroom will still have trouble. See if it updates when you open the Gameroom file through facebook or desktop shortcut @Commander Sinclair

Tried relinking STT App on iPad to my FB account, and it won't login at all. even going through Safari (which I hate) to login to FB gets caught in an endless loop. Also went to FB app and it logs in, but does not send info back to the STT app.
Tried the same thing on my iPhone, seemed to work with the login, and even said logout and log back in for changes. Did so, and no changes - still stuck in loops.
Just looks like it doesn't/can't work, so I give up...
Yeah, the Gameroom is still down. I just installed it fresh and it is stuck in a Java error loop on loading that is stating that I need a browser that supports WebGL and I should download Firefox. Just for full clarity the WebGL org states that Edge, Chrome and Firefox are all currently certified to support WebGL. I have all three installed and have cycled through setting each as my default browser and relaunching Gameroom.
Tried playing game in FB browser window and get Java runtime errors. This looks alot like Java might have release a patch for Spectre/Meltdown bugs that is causing interoperation issues. That would also explain why some machines and hardware are effected differently or at different times, as different hardware configurations or different software update cycles may not expose the issue.
While I don't think that this is a DB issue I do wish that DB had put in the dev cycles to simply release an actual Windows client App through the store so that a large percentage of players could have a first tier experience. Web based gameplay always suffers especially when the keystone is Java.

This has been fixed, please make sure to restart Steam, download the new update and you should be good to go.
