I've noticed a weird behavior with draft saving, I wonder if it is related.
Unfortunately this is likely related to an update on the software side, something I have no control upon. I will look at their latest release notes.

I'm trying to change my generic user name to my in-game captain name, but when I try to change anything at the Disruptor Beam user site, it gives me an error and none of the changes save. Would love to both change my name and associate this Facebook login with an email address instead of the placeholder email it auto-filled for me.

Please submit a ticket for this so we may look into it.
Provide the name you are trying to use, it might already be used and that would result in an error.

I have read, and re-read the instructions for making the change and I can't see that I am not following the instructions exactly, including signing out and then signing back in again.

Multiple times now.
I simply wanted to change the first part of the name from Captain to Admiral, that is, new name = Admiral T.T. Turk - after all I have a fleet now LOL

Your other forum account is no more, you should be able to change the name on this one without issue now

There is no issue if the your forum is not synced with your game account.
