    My thoughts exactly. I always found Garth so tragic, a war hero turned insane madman. Once revered (even Kirk studied him in the academy) now regarded as an insane shell of his former self

    Really dig all of these options and would gladly welcome all of them to the game! (I'm soured on Sulu, as I have some personal issues even looking at the likeness of George Takei, but I'll also readily concede that of all possible Sulu personae, he's the only one I'd be likely to keep. I'd also immediately freeze him so as to avoid having to look at him.)

    What I dig about this selection of possible TOS era crew is that it's a great microcosm of how diverse and cool those guest characters were. Even when I may not care for the episode itself, I was almost always fascinated by the alien of the week guests. DS9 had by far the richest supporting cast, but I think TOS had the coolest overall one-off guests.
