Perhaps disturbing imagery is the only way to make people look up from their phones and care about their world?
I don’t need to see brutally murdered animals to care. I already do. I donate monthly to three different animal charities, one global and two local. Don’t go assuming things like that. Arguing about game mechanics on here is one thing. This hits me right in the heart.
So, one thing, though. You're not the only person they're trying to reach. Perhaps this isn't all about you?
I disagree. It pains me to watch this ad. If it were taken down, what harm would it do to you. None. Why not just say ok, we will take it down. If we don’t, some people, not just me as proven by this post, will be upset. If we do, no one will be upset that it was removed. Just be a decent human being and remove it. It’s unbelievable to defend its remaining. To address your other comments, I already told you I do something about it. $60 a month from me goes towards stopping such things. And lastly, I wouldn’t be on here crying about it in the first place if it wasn’t shoved in my face. I certainly wouldn’t come on a game forum to complain about harming animals. The game brought it to me.
Where do we draw the line? Three quarters of my ads are war games that promote the killing of human beings.
They can't just remove reasonable ads because you don't like them. If they do that for everyone then none of us would have ads.
There's an easy solution if you can't stand the sight of a dead animal. Don't watch. Nobody forces you to push that orange button.
It was totally unexpected. I have only saw it once so far and that one time was very wtf just happened. I’ve said something on here before about a kill die die game where your a sniper and your job is to kill people from far away. Didn’t like that either. I suppose the over the top part is this was real. All the others are computer graphics
Seeing the real world can be jarring when you are used to seeing fantasy type games, I'll grant you that.

I think it’s interesting that the people who like the idea of this ad are the ones who have never seen it.
And the ones who think that it’s somehow promoting a worthy cause.
Let me make this clear: it is not.
It is a social networking site for activists. Which means that it’s very likely that Banjo and I are actually the intended recipients of this ad- people who already realize and are upset about the fact that these things are happening.
It is not to raise awareness. It is to promote their social networking site, which likely makes money off of its advertisements.
Go ahead, visit the site, sign all the petitions you want, comment on all of the articles you want.
While you do that, Banjo and I will be donating money to local and global shelter, rescue, and animal preservation groups with real animal abuse cases that they are trying to keep alive.
Last time I checked apple classed this as an age 12, and Google age classification is 7+
If the minimum possible age is therefore 7, adds and any content in game should be tailored to that age range if not DB should request google to regrade their game.
There is no way I would risk exposing a 7 year old to such unnecessary images there are other educational means that get the message across.

We're working with our ad providers to block the ad. If any of you happen to see it again, it would be very helpful if you're able to screenshot at least the last screen, as the ads usually list the ad provider at the end.

Will do! I’ve been looking for it, but it hasn’t popped up yet. I’m pretty sure it’s Care2, but a picture is worth a thousand words, as they say. (:

Thank you. Unfortunately we can't track what ads players are seeing on what network, so we need your help to completely resolve this.
The ad network will usually be Unity or Fyber. In the past, AdColony was also a provider, but I believe we've discontinued using them due to the high number of problematic ads.
In the meanwhile, we have reached out to all of the providers.

Thank you very much @Black Pebble. I appreciate you addressing this concern.
The only ad I had a problem with was the Sniper 3-D Assassin game as I didnt like them showing computer generated video of an assassin shooting people.
This one’s not as graphic, but still not the kind of thing that you might want in the game, given the efforts to keep it friendly to younger age groups.

Also, it’s really depressing.
