    I'd actually like that. He was arguably the most important Vulcan as far as the Vulcan-Earth relationship goes. Since it would have presumably have been his decision to check out that rock full of primitives which somehow managed to achieve Warp. Also he was very good at his dramatic entrance, walk and greeting. He should be credited for that.

    Oh and also the goof where they have Daniels say the Borg have taken decks 26-11 and later Picard tells Lily that the Enterprise only has 24 decks.... Steams me every time

    It cannot be first contact day, first contact won't happen for another 45.

    For us to celebrate a future event, we would need time travel, and that won't be invented for a long time.

    There's a difference though, DB gave us Mirror Picard at the end of the event when everyone already had him leveled and some had him immortalized. Right now, no one has New Surak.

    Frankly, I am still grateful to DB for my Mirror Picard and my Christmas Worf

    Picard gate was because he was sent after the event. The event hasn't started yet. Giving us the legend before the start of the event would benefit all of us.

    You might think it is trolling but it would actually be a really nice touch to give us the final copy as the event starts.

    Agreed on both parts. Cochrane's line was too contrived. Q's line of ending your trek through the stars (paraphase) was a much better nod.

    DB is sending us all 2063 merits to celebrate.... I'd say yay.... but merits really aren't that hard to come by.... At least it's not 2063 credits I guess...

    To be fair to them they didn't even have to do that - and that is about three merit pulls if you are so inclined

    Yah I thought I'd heard last year was something better but can't really recall. Something is definitely better than nothing

    I enjoyed the merits, since I find merit pulls to be a fun gamble. Ended up getting one 4*, two 3* and the rest 2*. Reasonable chunk of honour there.
