I voted...
Sha-ka-ree (because I think that'd just be interesting)
Gorkon would have been 2nd though, then maybe Caithlin.
For the fill-in, I put in Prophet Sarah Sisko. My boyfriend really wants her and I think she'd be an awesome addition.
Admiral of the Haus of GaghGagh, Starbase level 94, we are not accepting members at this time.
Captain of the voyage vessels: Queen of Bashir, Landsknecht, and Sunspear, the first luxury starship cruiseliners.
Amenities include wifi, fully-functioning holodecks, a full-service bar, 3 party decks, a Trill spa, and a business centre.
Fun fact: The ships are propelled by bouncy castle technology.
Captain Will Decker. What would be neat (to me, anyway) is to get Decker AND a new Lieutenant Ilia, which we could then fuse into ... V'ger!
LLAP 🖖🏻
Honestly, while this would be cool, it's doubtful because of the actor's supposed child molestation/porn charges......
I was unaware of those allegations against the actor. Given the tension between presumption of innocence and (public) perception of guilt, that does make Decker unlikely to get a card any time soon.
Drat.
I did find it odd that TOS movie anniversaries were referenced. I mean, yeah, they're having anniversaries, but not any milestones:
The Motion Picture - 39 The Wrath of Khan - 36 The Search for Spock - 34 The Voyage Home - 32 The Final Frontier - 29 The Undiscovered Country - 27
Funnily enough, the only movie with a milestone anniversary this year is Generations (20). Sure would like to commemorate that with a replay of "Ribbon of Joy"....
Wasn't Generations from 1994? I believe Insurrection is the one celebrating 20 years this year. New event including Ru'afo, Badmiral Whatever, and Ba'ku Picard?
That said, the "explorer" comment in the question convinced me to put Erika Hernandez.
I paused for a looooong time trying to choose between Gorkon and Azetbur - in the end I chose Azetbur just because whichever one I picked I'd miss the other, but at least there's Gul Madred to soften the blow in his case.
For explorer... okay it was by accident but he was the first through the wormhole from the other side, I chose Tosk, because Tosk is adorable.
As the explorers I chose Anniker Hansen’s (young 7of9) parents... they were most certainly explorers and pretty decent characters.
Nice idea. Even room for their drone versions (not that I would expect or want that). The Borg are usually presented from a violent, confrontational perspective. That episode was one of the precious, few glimpses we had at what happens in the calm before the storm, rather than the aftermath. The lone, courageous explorers risking everything with just their little ship and scanners.

I wasn't sure how to take "explorer". It was worded so ambiguously that to me it came off as a cheeky way of just saying any potential crew member in Star Trek.

DB would not give us these choices if they did not already have the rights and permissions to use actors images, and possibly also signed off artwork. DB would not go to the trouble of doing this, and then not using the crew.
So I guess that no matter who the winner is, we will get the other nine in due course.
If I had been thinking and wasn't half asleep I very likely would have written down Admiral Ross.. instead I Wrote Captain Garrett if you can't get Commander Shelby.
(Shelby has been difficult over the years to get permissions from as I understand it so any request for her has to have an astrix next to it)

True, most federation characters should be classed as such.... but I tried to think of someone who was exclusively exploring haha
I said Richard Galen, Picard's archeology professor that in "The Chase" started Picard and the enterprise on the journey that led to finding most alpha quadrant humanoids have a common ancestor.

Chancellor Gorkon
Kivas Fajo (explored looking for uniqueness throughout the galaxy... a stretch, but such a great character and actor)
K'Tinga Battlecruiser / Hirogen Warship / Andorian Kumari (first 2 to complete, last one would be new)
For new crew I suggested Ensign Rivers, aka Seth McFarlane in ENT. We can always use more engineers.
For ships, T'ong, 878 and NX class, because I still need to finish them.
Nx, 878, andorian

So did I!
Suggested Quinn or Q Jnr

For my write in I chose Kamala because she's Perfect.

My write in was for The Crystaline Entity.
I like that one! Second Captain in Starfleet history
