Tired of the dishonest rolls in these events...

4 missions, all 99% chance of success, and 2 out of 4 fail? Really? Last time we had an event with shuttle missions I had 3 out of 4 fail when they were also 99%, and the event before that, 5 out of 8 fails in two groups of 4, at, once again, 99%. This tells me that there is some basic dishonesty happening here, and I'm tired of it. It's pretty damn obvious that the success chance in these even missions is not "99%", regardless of what it says. I'm out of this event, and will not do any more events with shuttles, until this is fixed.

Still sub 1000 position though.
This event I had 4 missions over 95% .. 2 failed .. yep . "O.K." sure .. O.o
Even based off my year's worth of data collected, showing that shuttles %'s are actually about 10-15% LOWER than displayed ...., that means 80-85% ... failed twice ... still an ouch ... but still ... just wish they'd fix the #'s displayed ... at this point, there's a ton of data the community has collected, independent of each other, and plenty showing a skew that is beyond "standard deviation" .. *shrug*
And here is the response you will get from DB......
Can you set that to music? It sounds like it would be a catchy song.
or go into f2p mode. It's even funnier. You feel like there is some challenge. And you beat the casino this way. Remember, the only way to beat the casino is not to play. :-)
I can’t get better than 2/4 each run and have yet to slip below 92% ‘chance’
4 seaters all bonus crew with boost...failed
This makes Vegas look as dependable as a full time job...
There is usually a sweet spot (usually between 75-85%) where the nerf does not operate and success seems more in keeping with the listed percentage rates.
Anybody from DB care to comment ?
I've never seen that claim or any statistics that might back it. Sounds like a baseless accusation based on a mysterious "several sources".
There are tons of actual real tangible facts that are wrong here. There's no need to make stuff up.
You sure about that? I don't think anything will stop the whales in this game from spending.
I haven't seen shuttle fails this bad in a long time. Who's been tinkering under the hood without a flashlight ?
But DB is brilliant at self-sabotage. I’ve stopped spending now but not before being VIP 75+ and I’m absolutely dismayed with the practices that they employ. Their misleading actions leave the impression they’re satisfied with the money I’ve spent and would be delighted for me to move on...new players don’t feel that disdain yet
But pending the whale it may not be so foot shooty.. could be counting on that "oh yeah!? F u I'll get you yet !" Cha ching attack vector.
Faction events are my favorite event type and it would sure stop me. I definitely qualify as a whale. If my failures over time didn't average out to what I expected it would most certainly stop me from spending money. Have I had bad events? Yep. I've had an event or two where RNG hated me but I've also had events where RNG blessed me.

Due to the whole Vulcan thing I was running Starfleet faction missions all week, with a stated success rate of about 60-70% and an actual success rate somewhere around that.
Event starts, I switch to running Romulan faction missions with a stated success rate of >90% and an actual success rate of around 33%.
Weirder still the duration went up to 3 hours then dropped back to 2hours and since that drop the actual success rate has been much closer to the stated value.
Pretty much every event I play, I fail more shuttles in the 1500-2750 range (esp 1800 and 2250) during the first day than the rest of event at 4k.
You should pass 4/4 missions at 95%/95%/95%/88% about 75% of the time. Failing one of those missions is hardly a rare event to gripe about.
