So, anyone who (like myself) has been playing since the achievements were introduced completed the final "participate in an event" achievement last week with 48 events.
I'm of the opinion that there are many more things about the game that need attention before collections. arena needs an overhaul, which they said they have been working on. new event types they have been working on, and hope to release soon I guess. both these areas are far more needed then collections. and I don't know what the big deal is, if they will be releasing new collections in the future, you can still work on the crew now, and when they release them you will be that much closer to finishing it up. it doesn't in any way inhibit your ability to level crew now, so just keep doing it. and I don't know why people think that these forums add so much weight to their decisions. d ont get me wrong, there is valuable information you can glean from these on line forums with player opinions on topics, bit in the big picture, all the people on this forum together add to what? 1% of the player base? maybe 1.025%? if that.... and how many people do you think are working for DB on this game? 100's? no. just a handful. and many of them have to field complaints and crybabies. so it's even less working on the actual game then they would like to be im sure.

Creating pathways for new Collections and Achievements should simply be maintenance. You're not creating new features, you're simply adding lists and some art. (Ok so the art dept may get pulled in for some hours...). That's not a whole lot of coding or even thought.
I think it is a bit more complicated than that. There would need to be testing, for issues such as ensuring that all characters that should contribute to the collection were doing so, that the rewards were applying correctly and stacking correctly with other rewards.
I would expect that actually adding in a new collection would probably be something as simple as adding a few extra lines in a database somewhere (assuming there was a collection name and collection reward threshold table storing the data). Testing it would take a lot more time though.

You mean like all the testing that went into make sure the shuttle change worked correctly?

DB, are you planning to add more of these?
