Couldn't just give us the plain expedition/faction hybrid many of us have been begging for? the hybrid was already a concession instead of getting a full expedition. had to weave in a galaxy?
why?????
why?????

"How?"
I'll do you one better. "Who?"
I can see a Galaxy and Expedition being ran at the same time. One wouldn't interfere with the other. It could be very time consuming though. Doesn't DB know that raid night in WoW takes place on Saturday night for me? I'm the tank! Its an important job and somebody also has to make fun of people. They really should've checked me schedule first.
Nah, will be their first 12 day event. Reward teirs will be the same though. So most people will be working for nothing after 2 or 3 days
Wouldn't we all love that xD
Otherwise with all three event types, most likely ending with a galaxy part, it's only a shorter and chronwise slightly cheaper galaxy event.
If you're talking US independence day, that's a week too early.
I'm stoked to be getting bell riots Bashir, though I don't particularly want to craft another set of teddy bears!!
Nah the expedition part will only take from Sat 23rd until Mon 2nd July, as everybody loves extended expeditions and DB needs to make up for having 0 expeditions for such a long time
I really think the survey was a plot to get these, probably minimally tested, scenarios out.
I'm not amused.
Because, otherwise, chroniton sales would plummet.
We could also call it the repeating "glass is half empty and complain in advance mentality of Pallidyne" Probably you also rip movies apart when you have only seen the trailer.
Event theme and new event styles are 2 completely different topics, how you combine them into one negative "conclusion" doesn´t seem to have a logical basis As someone already said elsewhere:
Many people are craving the reccuring legendary of megas. So even if some people may not like DS9 and/or the augments they will prolly still play to get their hands on Bashir with a lil playing.
Aka, in bad and hopefully good, DB will get much feedback. Hence a mega is a good ground to try something new.
One thing, next thing is that minimally tested is an assumption. Where is the basis for this? Apart from the overused "Well, it´s DB".
Final thing is: People have mentioned that they are bored of the always same events. Now we got a new one. And don´t yet know how it plays out. Should it be bugridden etc. like you except you can still get your usual pitchforks out.
Also a hybrid of 3 different styles sounds interesting "on paper". I look forward to see how it will play out...
1) Minimally tested means never in the field. Unless some players stand up like they did for Gauntlet stating they were part of a significant beta all we've got is DBs QC team which already has a dubious track record. Not because "its DB" but because of the first week of Voyages, because of other first weeks. (With the exception of Gauntlet that had just a rollout timing issue but had been tested by significant parts of the playerbase) There literally has never been a skirmish in production nor a triple hybrid, so this is NEW at the same time doing in the middle of a high profile mega event. One that was solicited for us for the topic and then hyped. Doing something new as a standalone to at least shake things out lessens the possibility of giving a whole month long of bad taste in peoples mouths. Yes you won't get the load, but load isn't the only thing you are testing with something new!
2) Thank you for the assumption on other activities I perform. You know me so well. I'd invite you to the movies, but you'd probably blow so much sunshine up my back end that you'd tell me how Attack of the Killer Tomatoes and Plan 9 from Outer Space are the best things you've ever seen. (See I can do that too...and it makes just as much sense.)
I showed these threads to the head of my PMO, who essentially shook her head, and I got 15 minutes of folks "probably using AGILE as an excuse for poor project and program management.".
So call it nay saying, hateraid, whatever you want. It ain't solid product or project management doing this like this. Its like gambling on a mirror match in gauntlet. It MIGHT go the way you want and you can claim you knew it all along, or you can have Mirror Troi and Picard pieces all over your face FOR FOUR WEEKS.
PS DB QC- No packs on Garak offer TODAY and you're telling me you have confidence in their QC on this big of a scale?
I was thinking one day of each, then 4th day all thee with bonus "Intel" from Galaxy & Expeditions to use in the Skirmishes.
Skirmishes aren't a part of the triple hybrid. It's Expedition/Faction/Galaxy. Adding Skirmishes would make it a quadruple hybrid
Like a 2/1/1, 1/2/1, or 1/1/2 split.
I know things change, and there were no negative intentions, but I do feel after expecting a Faction/Expedition based on the response in the recent Question & "Answers" exercise.

Agreed. I'm guessing 1 day of Expedition, 1 Faction, 2 Galaxy.
Because DB.
This would actually make the most sense because it ties up less of your crew. If the Expedition were after the faction, you would still have shuttle crew tied up for 12 hours into the faction. The Galaxy after the faction would tie up the least amount of crew at one time.
I see the opposite. Both Expedition and Galaxy can be done quickly and on your own schedule. Just blow through your tickets and chronitons and you are done. So it would make the most sense to just be 1 day each. The Faction takes longer and because of the 3 hour spacing between shuttles. It would make more sense for the faction portion to be 2 days.
Nevermind, made myself throw up a little.
I'm glad you've seen the error of you ways.

I wasn’t referring to the time length of the phases, just the order
