  • i only did elite and epic , for to get all stars then reset ...
  • I dont understand the Galaxy hate here:
A regular Galaxy Event with a below 1000 ranking cost me about 400.000 Event Points.
I made 400.000 on Saturday morning with Expeditions alone (and I did not play on Thursday but purchased 2 more tickets). So in comparison, Expedition seems to yield much more event points.

Extra expedition tickets only cost dil + time... how many chronitons would it cost in a galaxy for 400k VP?

Because for all players except those who have managed to bank tens of thousands of chrons (and therefore likely don’t have to do much leveling anymore), crew development comes to a screeching halt during Galaxy events. Such is not the case in Expedition events and it could be argued that Faction events speed up crew development by dropping extra faction-only items (which is dependent on what factions are featured).

    If we're talking from scratch...

(NOTE: There's a bunch of napkin math assumptions here. I'm not trying to arrive at a precise answer, just getting something in the ballpark.)

First, from my experience, the rare rewards end up accounting for around 1/3 of my point total in expeditions. This is going to vary for each player based on their crew strength, so I'm just going to go with the 1/3 estimate.

    400k Total points = 267k from recipe builds + 133k "rare" turnins

How many builds does it take to get to 267k points?

Numbers are slightly different for Phase 1 and Phase 2:

Looking at the galaxy cost spreadsheet thread:
    https://forum.disruptorbeam.com/stt/discussion/232/galaxy-events-mission-costs-spreadsheet#latest

If you look at the last 3 galaxy events and exclude the two most expensive recipes for each phase, you get an average cost of 63.8 chrons per recipe. Given our calculation of 265-271 recipes, that yields an estimate of around 17,000 chronotons.

Obviously, the ACTUAL expenditure will be less because no one has a completely empty inventory.
  • That is a pretty hefty chunk of chrons when calculated out! Thanks for the breakdown @Peachtree Rex ! You could FE a legendary or maybe a couple of super-rares... add the repetive stress from tapping and the reason for galaxy distaste is clear...

For 17k chrons you could conceivably FE several Legendaries, and have some leftover for SRs..
