Like most, if the price was $9.99 as it was in the past before the Killy offer was released as a lame attempt to appease those freshly furious about Polywater Yar's nerf, I would have bought the offer to get her to 3/5, but for $24.99, I will gladly spend my money elsewhere on something else.

Lame stats for sure. No help in Arena. Might save you a couple chronitons in the upcoming event. I mean, if that's worth $25 to you - go for it. Looks like that's no one here, though.
This is kind of it for me. Back when I was on the players council I still remember when Nod/Alex told us that when he was working on the Game of Thrones game for DB they would put up offers that no one in their right mind would buy just to see if anyone would take the bait. He said they were shocked at how many people bought them. This T’Pol offer was kind of the tipping point since it’s pretty obvious that it’s exactly what they are doing here.
I’m going to go monthly card only. I’ve been spending hundreds of dollars a month but this made me realize I just need to stop rewarding them for taking advantage of players. I completely understand why Silver Rose removed her credit card from her iTunes account. The only thing that keeps me playing are the great people in our fleet. It’s really bad when the actions of the company can over ride my OCD need to have all crew.
I want to reiterate here that Disguised Tuvok at 4/4 has a better science stat than Mirror T'Pol at 1/5 which effectively renders her useless for this galaxy event.

Welcome to the mobile game business. All companies do things like this. Take Casino apps for example. One day they present you a 2x bonus deal as the ultimate thing. And on the next one you have a 5x deal. Also there are 2 sides to the coin as always:
A company that tries to take advantage - and peeps who give in to that. Your moral take on things is nice, but no one forces anyone to take whatever deal. Same as in real life shopping: Good deals we buy, **tsk tsk** ones we ignore. Our choice, our decision.
My guess is the Killy offer was set to the wrong price and enough stupid people bought her at the $25 price that DB has now set all of these to the $25 price even though they used to be only $10. Then, the players were making the assumption that it was because she was not in the portal yet. Every time someone would say that I would just think how they are all now setting the new price for the offer. What do you know, we have now had 2 additional offers like it with the higher price. It's us players that have allowed DB to price it that way since it seems to be selling well enough that the price was never dropped back down to $9.99. I have had my in-app purchases turned off for a few months now and has significantly dropped the amount that I spend on the game. I locked those purchases because I was tired of giving DB as much as I had been, and that was an easy $300-400 a month. I am now only doing 40-80 a month and looking to dropping it even further.

Based on the comments here, I was getting the same strong feeling that she will be the 2* threshold prize. I really hope so, it will be nice to have another option to my roster of cadet challenge participants, plus a useful Vulcan that won't be (theoretically!) too tricky to equip! (Seriously, there aren't enough IDICs in the galaxy to equip most Vulcans!)

Everyone values things differently, but by buying this at a price you admit is out of line, you are doing your part to ensure they won’t go back to the old price. As long as they find enough people that are willing to pay whatever, they will feel justified in charging whatever.

Exactly what I'm thinking, it was already highly unlikely that she'd be a threshold but this offer just makes me absolutely certain that she won't.

Agreed. I know I haven't been playing nrly as long as the majority of the players here and I've only seen a couple of reruns but I really don't think she will be added to threshold.
I have Valeris immortilised and so my participation this event depends very much on those threshold rewards. Sarek I looks cool but I've never hit under 1000 for a galaxy because I like having chrons.
Also, to add to the OP, my purse has been shut for some time now and im sooooo not opening it for your most recent offer DB. i probably wouldn't have bought it at £9 either tho, partly because I'm poor and partly because I don't find the card attractive.
