I am heartbroken at the fact that Trip is not bare-chested. This is a travesty and affront to humankind.
Amen!
IIRC the last time we tried to have a word about the art we were told nothing was ever going to get changed after DB has accepted a piece, and this is a non-canon Tucker, but my dudes/dudettes - why isn't he blond?
What? He’s never been blond?? I’ll ask again - what??

I can see what looks like some highlights, but I’ve never (ever) considered Tucker to be blond. ‘Mousey’ maybe, but brown in general.
I would be much more excited about faction events if there was a way to get the threshold super rare to 4/4 without buying packs.

HIGH RANKING, HIGHLY SEXY FLEET SEEKS HOT & ACTIVE PEOPLE FOR SOME FUN PLAY.
Have you been naughty? Playing with yourself again? Has another fleet touched you in bad ways? Don’t worry, we will train you…. Gently. Light bondage only. Bring your own handcuffs, though…. We don’t supply them.
We’re not those other guys. Here we shower often, and we treat our members like family. We know how to whip some serious tail, yet no one is left to shiver out in the cold. If you need advice, help, strategy, tips or anything at all…. I and my officers are here to help you.
Currently, we're looking for more good people to enjoy the game with us, and we offer a TON to our members, in return. We prefer level 50 members and above. Lower level players than this will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
We use the DISCORD app for all our fleet chats (it's free). We're much better organized than many other top-tier fleets in the game, while a heck of a lot more relaxed and much more fun to be a part of. I have numerous other former fleet Admirals who joined me, and we have a world of knowledge and experience to share with you. Sure, we all love the game, and we enjoy playing it often; but we're also a fun family of kooky friends from around the world, who enjoy playing the game together. On top of playing, we also hang out often and share plenty of good laughs, an excellent supportive environment and one another's company.
It's OK if you don't play every day. You don’t have to be a daily player, but the more you play the more fun you’ll have with us. So long as you let me know ahead of time whenever you know you're going to be offline from the game for five days or more, I won't kick you for inactivity. You can send me that message on DISCORD at any time you need to; it takes only a moment. That rule helps keep our fleet as active as possible.
All Captains MUST have a name other than just “Captain” so that others may recognize you. We have no drama, but instead are a close-knit group of good people who treat each other as if we’re both friends & family.
WE’RE ALMOST ALL VERY HIGHLY ACTIVE, and help is never far whenever you might need it, at any stage of the game, nearly 24/7. Whatever your skill level, we can help you.
If you are interested in joining our fleet, please feel free to message me and I will be glad to assist you.
Free steak & Lobster available from our resident chef upon joining (alternate meal suggestions are possible), drinks available through our in-house bartender/barista/host. Please be sure to tip your wait staff. They're nuts, but they're worth it.
I would be much more excited about faction events if there was a way to get the threshold super rare to 4/4 without buying packs.

But there is this "way". Simply have the patience and wait until they are added to the Voyages pool (and they drop for you there oc). If you don´t want to invest in packs the "price" is simply patience...
DB gives enough free stuff so that all players can enjoy. But to expect everything right away is completely unrealistic.
Also everyone of us could hit a ruff financial patch and have zero or as good as zero reserves for entertainment. And if anyone is in such a situation my full sympathy (not so for general "scroogyness", lol).
But same as people showing off their bucks personally I find it as uncool to always display a "cheap" or as Banjo would call it "free water" attitude.

How many Tucker’s and Q’s do you have?! I’ve seen as many crew variant options in Mirror and Klingon events before.
Believe it or not, less than ten bonus crew was once the norm.
Yes and that time, we had no AND shuttles and shuttles with 2 slots only as well.
While this is an amusing quip, it's not quite accurate and leaves out some important context.
Yes, 2 slots existed, but only in the first three events (I haven't checked beyond the first five).
There have always been AND slots. Yes, there are more AND slots in today's mission (by comparison, Education is Power had 39 and slots against 64 total slots vs less than half that many from the early events), but AND slots were also updated to actually provide a bonus rather than being a hindrance in the original implementation.

It's not just patience, it's a consumed crew slot. If the crew is not useful to you 3/4, that's a very long term slot investment for 6+ months waiting just to have a chance to free up the slot. Personally I consider airlocking every 3/4 event crew unless they're especially powerful or perhaps if they fill a difficult to complete collection.
And you don't have to hit a rough financial patch to be financially responsible. Video games should cost <$100, all in, in my opinion. ESPECIALLY for a simple mobile game that amounts to basically card collecting, is entirely cloud based, and could be shut down at any time. I'd be willing to add money to this game very regularly if it was priced more reasonably, like $2 and $5 purchasable items. $34 (canadian) for a single star on a single 1/5 character is ludicrous in my perspective. Certainly there are people out there who make more money than me and have no dependents, but to support these costs being so high there must be a lot of people who are making very poor financial decisions paying this much instead of investing in their future, etc.
In my mind it's unfortunate how the gaming adult culture has turned pricing into ludicrous irresponsibility. People putting equivalent amounts to car purchases or (small) house down payments on a mobile game have lost touch with reality in my mind.

I’ve said it before multiple times but feel it is worth repeating here: I feel that the best way of determining the value of any entertainment medium is on a cost-per-hour basis. With this model, people who spend hundreds of dollars per week on this game still look like they have more money than sense and people who spend little to nothing still get a great deal. People in between those extremes just have to compare their per-hour costs to something else they might be doing instead and see if they are coming out ahead or not.
For the record, I am with you 100% on the ridiculousness of DB’s recent pricing schemes. I haven’t spent money here in nearly two months and see no reason to do so going forward unless there is a large shift in DB’s approach to customer relations, never mind the blatant cash grabs that have been the last few 1/5* legendary offers. But I am not going to attack others who have weighed the costs versus benefits and decided to continue spending...that decision really has nothing to do with me.
Bought the $25 pack and got the worst results from the pack pulls I've ever gotten. 4/5 of them were Klaa - who I already have immortalized - and one more Q. That's some shite.
I would be much more excited about faction events if there was a way to get the threshold super rare to 4/4 without buying packs.

I never said that the final star had to be given to me. Simply that I would like faction events more if there was another way for me to earn or obtain the fourth star during the event, like all the early faction events had. I did not demand that DB just give me the fourth star. I am willing to work for it. I would even be willing to buy a pack if I got to choose between the two super rares. In half the events you can get two 4/4. I thus find it incongruous that in half the events you can not. Every faction event I get a 3/4 and then have to hold that 3/4 for a long time to get the final star or airlock a lvl100 fe 3/4 for 600 honor. You say that I just need to patiently wait, I have been waiting since Oct. 2017 for the final star on Sarek, since Nov. 2017 for the final star on Ruk, since Jan. 2018 for the final star on Duelist Yar, since Feb. 2018 for the final star on Bajoran Dukat, and since July 2018 on Breen Disguise Dukat. If DB lowered the cost for the things they sell in game, player participation would go up. Repeat sales would go up. Player count could start going up and as a result, advertising dollars would go up because DB would be able to prove to investors that there are more people willing to spend money here. It's a win-win for everyone. Makes more sense to drive up sales by lowering the cost of items & in turn means that more people will buy it more often.

completely agreed. I've been waiting on 1/4 Mirror Jadzia since I got her. Just recently picked up 2 of her stars since she was added to the portal rotation. Still waiting on the Anbo Riker, klingon o'brien, and Anij to name a few to FF them without having to spend honor on citations since I have an even larger stack of 1/5 crew that need stars also.
We are recruiting for our sister fleet, Mirror Klingon Marauders! Contact me via private message if interested
Well I was pretty excited about this event until I looked at the reward structure...
What made DB think I'd throw a ton of resources into getting a non-canon character? I need another two stars on Klaa, but meh, its not like it matters, I've never used him. Florist Q is immorted. Pugilist Q is all I want.
I often wonder about DB's marketing decisions. Usually, with other companies, the marketing crew is offering me too many juicy choices to resist. But here its the opposite. I feel constantly forced to accept something I do not want.
Throw 75k honor or a few citations into the mix once in a while, thats something worthwhile, when the only choice is to airlock everything else. Thats something a lot of us could actually use.
So anyway, I looked at the awards and instantly went from "pretty excited" to "threshold and out".
OFC ... the new Q is threshold .... highly tempted to skip it .... crap crew not worth the effort... definitely not worth paying for a pack ...
It is weird that Q is the most powerful character in Star Trek but the only Q with good stats is powerless human Q. All the omnipotent Q have terrible stats.
Wow, just read the event notes. I'm not sure how DB could have effed this up any more. Some made up, beat to hades Tucker to justify ENT hate. A ridiculous genocidal theme. A weak, out of character Q that you can't complete.
I don't think this is even worth threshold and out.
I sure don't intend on fighting for an ugly and weak Tucker (and I really rather like Tucker) and spacing another already immortalized Klaa, while a 3/4/level 1 Q waits in the airlock queue.
Every week this game closes the wallet even tighter, and makes me doubt that it's worth even $4 a month.

Oh I'm going to complete him, probably through honor, just to get him into the deep freeze and be rid of his terrible stats. Ironically if he was going to qualify for active crew (at FFFE), I'd be slightly less likely to want to immortalize him - or at least do it more slowly - because I figure either way he's got a slot.
I have no problem with more Q, he was the first protagonist of modern era of Star Trek and some of the best episodes involved him.
*antagonist 😀
Autocorrect can go straight to he'll.
Actually, he is more of an anti-hero as it becomes clearer as time goes on that he is not just messing with them for laughs; he is actually helping a group of mortal beings that would normally just blend in with everyone else grow and become a fearsome counter-force of the galaxy to everything else that sought to destroy others.
An example of a true antagonist would be the Borg.
There are three ways to do something; the right way, the wrong way, and the Janeway.

(Note: my argument here is for literary and friendly debate purposes. It is not intended to be argumentative or rude or picking nits. In my own mind and research for my stories, I have more strict ideas of character types. Hopefully I can effectively articulate them.)
You have a point, but antagonist and protagonist are not defined as good guy and bad guy, nor are they defined by their goals and desires. The simple definition of protagonist is the guy we are rooting for and the antagonist is the person or force that is holding the protagonist back. Q may ultimately be trying to guide humans (debatable) but he is certainly usually holding the humans back from at least their precieved goals. Thus he is an antagonist even if he is (perhaps) not a bad guy. The Borg are just the outright villains.
I just saw the new event in-game and I'm still hyperventilating over that Tucker! Too bad it's faction; I have no chance. But glad to know he's in game.

Sad...maybe they will read this.
I don't know why he's not in there instead of Klaa...
Yes, from season 1 DS9 epsiode Q-less
So were 2 seater Shuttles in an Event!
But this Tucker is just mediocre.
