I have no doubt it will be fixed, but either it will take that "vault counter' approach, or something else on the back end. You may upset some folks that have a lot of dupes that they will no longer get credit for, but that is a risk of the system I suppose.
I'm just happy the 350 target was basically doubled.
It's quite clear that once you hit that 350 limit earlier the counter stopped counting and any immortals you did since then werent counted at all. Now it is once again counting where it left off previously...
easiest fix would be just to scan peoples vaults and update the counter that way, the vault knows how many duplicates you've done as well since you can store and pull them out just fine.
Vault count number does not include doubles, no matter that you can freeze and unfreeze multiple of the same crew. My vault count shows 505 immortalized crew but with doubles i have 544.

What's more troublesome is that if one achievement counter works this way, all probably do. If they lift the cap on number of events, gauntlet rounds, voyage dilemmas, etc. we can expect to see similar issues each time unless they can figure out what caused this one and implement it properly.
