No problems here on my ipad. Sorry to see so many people having issues.
For those who think the event is lost: remember that there are many of you who will have a late start. Don't give up yet if you've only lost a few hours when the connection is back!
Believe me the event is lost. In Europe it is nearly the end if the day. I struggle to get into the top band of missions before bed under normal conditions (meaning I have to run overnight missions at lower than 4000 VP)
With the new thresholds it is a struggle to even hit thresholds without using time boosters or extra shuttles and that is starting at the normal start time.
Starting 2 and a half hours late means a tough catch up for European players
I think the fair thing to do would be to give everyone effected a free EMA. Might get ugly like the Pinafore Data debacle though.
Or PicardGate. That got close to torches and sharp pitchforks

That's terrible. I am sorry. Sometimes event packs get into a mode where it just drops the same super rare crewmember in pack after pack like the game is stuck. When it does this I leave the pack screen and game and reopen and try again. Often that produces better results but sometimes it doesn't. I think DB's current system is poor. If people get bad result after bad result they stop buying. Were I DB I would have a system in which after a certain number of event packs, like 5, you are guaranteed an event legendary. That way even with terrible luck you could be assured some success if you buy enough.
For those affected in Europe give them four free shuttle tokens. That would give them back what they lost without giving them an unfair advantage.
It really wouldn't get us back to where we would be. A 3 hour outage in the middle of an event could be handled that way. However we are coming to the end of the European day and we are not going to be able to hit the 4000 shuttles tonight (which means the over nights are going to be lower VP).
Also shuttle tokens use lower ranked crew compared to normal shuttles (so greater risk of failure)
I’m getting in OK now.
Had to spend ~$50-$100 worth of shuttle boosts to catch up though.
How did you quantify those boosts used as ~$50-$100?
A large quantity of 5* time reducers which I was saving for a later date. Based on costs of obtaining them from shuttle pulls.
I estimated about 6000 dil required based on observed drop rates.
Edit - Don’t forget, many of us dont have the luxury of slowly building up to 4K missions over the day. I’ve usually got 3-4hrs of time from event start to get to that point, so have to work hard to get there. A 2/3hr outage shortens that window quite severely.
Imagine the competition if the top 100 got a second legendary not just the top 15.
I agree, though I think it would also be reasonable to have it be just the top 50. If you're good enough to rank where everyone can see your name, you get 2 stars.

DB should try 50, try 75, try 100 and try 250 and see the results in money spent and competition. Worse case scenario DB just goes back to its regular ranking system.
I'm getting a lot of mission failures on shuttles with >90% success chance, always 3 out of 4 during multiple rounds. Does anybody else have the same bad luck? Looks really suspicious.

Nope, so far not a single mission 90%+ failed....and i run 4 accounts.

I've only had one failure at 94% this event. It was during my kick start.
I’ve had several 95%+ shuttles fail so far. It only starts to happen late into the first day and continues through the whole event. It’s definitely suspicious.
I’m sure our success percentages aren’t often real and they have a built in number of shuttles to fail no matter what to force your rank to drop and scare you into spending money to not lose your place

It's not my internet as has been suggested - every other site or game I play is absolutely fine.
I want all the Warship crew, so I am very excited. Now where did I leave those black gloves...

And now my 25 3* shuttle boosts are... gone?!

First time I've dipped into my shuttle tokens, I went 6/6 for 4k shuttles so I sent 6 more out.
I'm just hoping to build a good enough buffer that I can sleep in on Saturday or Sunday and still be comfortable in the top 1k.
Indeed, I did not use any rentals last Faction round. Good that I saved them.
Is this you?
I'm with you on that one....
I see me!
I salute you, sir.
Let's Rock this Leaderboard!
And now
Catch me if you can!

It's just RNG being RNG.
