Timelines' Originals Collection

  • Could we add wrong actor Saavik to the list of non-canon as well please?

If you’re going to claim that Dancing Uhura is a DB original based on just her pose (the outfit seems to fit the TOS episode 100%), then I think a full on face swap should count as “originality” too.

Same with Acting Nagus Brunt. Expression and staff from "Profit and Lace", briefcase and outfit from "Family Business" lol

As a fan of the occasional non-canon character, I'm really happy to see this collection. :)

Nice trolling by DB. Give us a non-cannon achievement to wind up the die hard Trekkies.
Looks like the Uhura question was answered.
We consider Agent Janeway to be a canon character, BUT you rightly point out an issue with the Section 31 affiliation. I've put in a bug to have Section 31 removed from that crew.

A few days before a fraction event where section 31 crew are bonus crew. Expect fireworks if the trait is removed before the event.

As I said, if the Trait is there for story reasons, it should not be removed. Especially right before an Event using that Trait.

    @Shan @jazzriker @SunshineRiker

Can the removal request be withdrawn?

The only value in Agent Janeway was her section 31 trait. Otherwise she is a very average stat character. Many people bought packs and/or worked hard in the event to get her specifically because of that section 31 trait. To remove it later removes her value.

  • HAHAHA! If I had a nickel for every time I read a post proclaiming "I hate these non-canon characters! I'm putting them all out the airlock!! RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!!!!!" :D:D:D

We haven’t agreed on much these last few days but I’m with you here. It is a little amusing.

And we must disagree. It's a LOT amusing!!!!!!!!!

I am one of those that have airlocked non-canon characters. I find it amusing too. DB are trolling me. 😂😂

Do I regret my decision to airlock them? Not at all. I needed the space and I don't like to moan about "not enough slots", it was the right decision at the time and I'd do it again.

    Still funny though. 😂😂

Shouldn't Assimilated Troi be in the collection? She's launching at the same time and is clearly a timelines original.

Pretty sure she will be, but she hasn't physically been added to the game yet. They're usually only added an hour or two before their packs are released, so I'd exist to see her in the vault around 10/11 AM EST, and would be very surprised if she isn't part of the collection.

I've been Airlocking favorite Crew to fit people in. Two adjustments this week at least took the pressure off for a few Events. Warping Cadets and Convergence Day Slots.

I don't understand why Section 31 trait should be removed from Agent Janeway, after all she was representative/working for Section 31 in the event story Alpha Omega. Given the limited section 31 traits I think it would be a big disservice to remove the trait from her.

Background: Agent Janeway was introduced in "Alpha and Omega", a Faction Event. She represented Section 31, Dr. Hippocrates Noah represented the Terran Empire, and Maquis Ro Laren represented the Maquis. I don't see anyone clamoring for Noah to have the Terran Empire trait.

  • Folks, don't sweat about Agent Janeway getting S31 removed before the event.

He said he was filing a bug report on it.

Remember how long it takes DB to act on a bug report...

Perhaps he should, but from my perspective he’s strictly canon agent Janeway was introduced in a manner that wasn’t, otherwise you might as well rename the card resistance Janeway or Katrine after all the atire is lifted from the killing game anyways.

Furthermore if DB are concerned about making new and unique and therefore a wider range of useful cards then all the more reason the trait should stay as is.

Precisely. DB created non canon crew they should not go back now. Consider Agent Janeway non canon and keep going. There are not enough section 31 crew that DB can remove her section 31 trait and not expect outrage. The whole reason most of us got her was specifically because of her section 31 trait.

Anyone who committed to Agent Janeway just for the Section 31 trait has not gotten much to show for her to date:

    Mission nodes locked: 0
    Voyage trait bonus: 0
Gauntlet: 1 (Constable, Section 31, Spiritual) that only generated twice in more than a year after the Gauntlet launched.
Event: 2 ("Gods and Masters", which ran three weeks after Agent Janeway was added, and the one starting tomorrow.

Is your argument Travis that since Section 31 has been of limited use that DB should remove it? Or are you looking to avoid being blamed if DB removes the trait from Agent Janeway since you brought it to their attention? We know going forward that Section 31 will likely be in Discovery and that there is going to be a Section 31 show coming. Section 31 is going to be very relevant shortly and currently there are only five crew with Section 31 trait. So to have DB take away Agent Janeway's Section 31 trait thereby removing 20% of all Section 31 crew really stinks.

Meh, we all know all Burnham varieties will be superior in any event that is STD and sec 31. Heck, my money is on that she created the section anyway.

With Philippa Noir being featured in the second season of Discovery, plus getting her own show about Section 31, as you mentioned, that Trait is gonna get some cred.
