  • My QoL idea would be options on the voyage notification. Allow us to be able to set it to either 200 AM, 100 AM, or 50 AM left. I dont know how many times I've gotten the notification that my voyage is running low and I immediately check it and think 'this thing can last another 20 mins'. Then I get busy and forget and it's now 2 hours later and I have ANOTHER failed voyage! And because there's no decent crew I just abandon it. But if the notification came at 50AM left, I'd probably recall it immediately. I can see how 200AM probably benefits people who cant check it immediately, but I'm tired of losing an 8 or 9 hour voyage because I tried to get a few more chronitons or see if a 4* crew would drop.

Was kind of avoiding this thread for a while because this is the kind of thread that cranks my brain into high gear and won't let it shut off and because I've been posting numerous QoL improvement ideas over the last year+ in various other locations, but here is one I have never posted before and IMO one that would be both very helpful and easy to achieve...

...add a 'trait' for every character name.

For example: EVERY copy of Janeway gets the 'Janeway' trait, so when a player types 'Janeway' into their Vault they not only see all the Janeway's they have that are named Janeway, but also variants like Lucille Davenport and Katrine.

This would be cool, but given the backlog of player requests & commentary in the Trait Audit thread(s), it might get shunted to the wayside. In the meantime, you could always check the STT Wiki for versions by character name, e.g.

    https://stt.wiki/wiki/Janeway#Versions

Or, just in time for Ishan Chaye’s event:

That same argument could be made for every QoL improvement idea, if that is the standard, this thread should not exist.

Doing this in my internal crew spreadsheet has been a life-saver, with the sheer number of DS9 and Picard variants that lack the names of their base characters.

    1) "Regular" Tuesday Packs - lower characters to 4 (2 purples and 2 golds). There would likely an overall increase on spend on dilithium as the odds are better to get a character wanted. Many players don't participate given the poor odds getting the new card.
    2) Dabo Table - lower dilithium usage to 1/2 like it was for the past week. There would likely be an overall spend on dilithium as getting the coveted gold costs over 10000 dilithium in most cases.
    3) Cadet Challenges - lock in crew by default after first challenge for all subsequent challenges with an option to re-select if wanted. There is no need to reselect to do each challenge
    4) Cryostasis Vault - add a filter to show unowned players only (or first)
    5) Rarity Polestar - eliminate 1*. 2* and 3* (or add the ability to add the value of these polestars together)
    6) Ship Schematics - ability to purchase schematics with merits or credits
    7) Let a read message stay in your mailbox (even those after claiming a reward).

Change how "Daily Targets" is displayed in the Starbase screen. I've never understood why it's a number and not a percentage. Plus that number has never made sense. And only have it as a percentage of 100; there's no need to know who is doing extra work, especially given the intro of ISM for fleet participation.
Playing Since: 2018-02-26 Level: 99 Fleet: ÷ Battleship Yamato, Squad Leader & Fleet Officer; 17hr, 20min Voyage /wo Refuel; 1546 Immortalized Crew; Highest Event Rank: 8 (God of Thunder)

Minor gripe, but can the sound levels on the ad warps be lowered? The casino ads seem to be the worst. I have to quickly crank the volume waaaaaaay down on some of those, then turn it back up when the ad is finished. It makes playing the game with headphones pretty much impossible.
  • 1. Fix bug with daily mission that requires you to switch elsewhere (i.e., campaign tab) for the UI to fix itself so you can claim what's truly remaining - tap, tap, tap done. Not tap, tap, dismiss error, switch away, then switch back, tap, etc.
    2. Premium rewards - 10 pull - An option to convert all to honor is nice, but what if I want to keep the purple and golds? Then I have to manually go to each blue one at a time. Have an option to select all blues. (The Merit and Basic rewards don't have as many crew for this to be an issue).
    3. Allow individual Premium and Basic individual pulls to groups of 9 so they don't have to be done individually. (Or a bonus, and save up 10 and it converts into a bonus x 10 pull with all that it entails).
    4. Gauntlet - for our eyes and fingers, please make sure all the prompt buttons are the same size. A recent update broke that. Also fix the 4 digit stats from wrapping incorrectly when doing our analysis.
    5. Shuttle missions - please sort by time remaining and don't show our unassigned shuttles in random order.
    6. Crew - sorting in all categories should sort by name as the last sort. It makes doing any external analysis helpful to have a consistent sort order.
    7. Galaxy event - please sort crew by the bonus effect in addition to the attributes. When the top % character is 4th or 5th, it's annoying to remember for each individual recipe.
    8. Galaxy event, allow us to craft items x 10 or x 100 to reduce carpal tunnel. Add an appropriate time penalty if you must for balance while the crafting is occurring.
    9. Skirmish event, allow us to wager x n cost and give us the same % as the reward. For example, instead of 1200 intel to give us a 6000 reward, let us wager 12000 intel to give us 60000 reward. I'd like less carpal tunnel and more weekend time.
    10. Fleet chat. Please persist the chat between sessions and retain a reasonable amount of chat. (24 hours or so).
    11. Popup ad offers. Please only show them once a day, and not every time the app starts up fresh. Or let me dismiss them, especially if I have the crew in question at 5 * and level 100.
    12. Mail - the 3 Arena emails that have the rewards cause a large lag spike when claimed. So now we have to hurry up and open all 3 before the lag hits in order to not have to get another lag spike when opening the remaining email. Perhaps a loot all button in mail would be helpful.
    13. Replicator from inside a crew's crafting menu has a truncated 5th column. Fix this please.
    14. Replicator mass cleanup is still messy. I'd love to just once in a while get rid of all my ship schematics, despite the penalty of converting from schematic to ration for later user in a replicator, but at the rate given in the UI, it will take forever at ~100 per ration when I have 25,000+ schematics for 35+ ship models. Allow a multiplier for mass replication in this manner.
  • 4) More fleet tools for the Admiral / Officers. Force change a squad leader. View more detailed daily chore tracker.

    +1 on these

For the galaxy x10 option they could also add an increased cost instead of a time penalty. I would happily trade chrons or credits for time. Maybe even dilithium.

The fleet tools are something that's rarely mentioned because most players don't have to deal with fleet management. For those who do, you really gave us an unpleasant chore there, with the ISM tiers. We should at least have a way to see who is completing their dailies.

I know it sounds dangerous, but you can just nuke them all for honor, then go into your crew and reenlist the ones you want. Not ideal, but it’s a workaround.

Unfortunately that doesn't work if your crew slots are full and it's a character you want to fuse with an existing one, or one you want to hold onto for a few days to free up a spot.

I'm sure I'm not the only one at perpetually full slots!

  • My annoyance from just now was "for a voyage I only ever want a ship with max dilithium. Why do I have to scroll through 40 ships to get to the Orion Interceptor...?" I'm not aware of any reason to not select the high-dil ship...
  • I like to have a “shipyard parking lot” where I can park all the ships I’ll never use (something like the cryogenic vault but for ships).

Auto select the highest AM ship when creating a new voyage pleeeeeeease
  • I would like to be able to see other fleet stats. It would make it easier to decide if a player wants to move to another fleet without having to leave their current fleet.

  • What I meant about being able to see other fleets and stats was to have it in the game. If you see a player in chat you could click on their fleet name and it would bring up their fleet stats. Fleet level, number players etc... It would also be nice if you could still see the list of fleets to check out stats when you are in a fleet same as when you are not in a fleet.

Get rid of the step where I have to click "Understood" after equipping an item that y'all said you were going to address years ago.
  • Has someone mentioned being able to search for crew by name when setting up a voyage?
