@Shan, @Admiral Prince Besides all that happened, I had and have an issue with you using relative times to indicate a specific point in time ("in 1 hour", "now"), while your new shiny forum software seems unable to provide timestamps for any posts that were made on a different (local) date than "today".
Preferably this gets fixed on the side of the forum software, since it's more reliable and would restore functionality that was present before.
I just really, really, really want some progress on the QA front. In the immortal words of Vanilla Ice, DB needs to take the time to stop (identify the issue), collaborate (communicate better internally), and listen (if the players are reporting an issue, it's worth a deep dive - not a first pass answer). If there's a problem - yo, DB solve it. Now, check out the hook while Silver revolves it.
What rewards from the voyages? 20 chrons or so and 1* crew? All I had today were a string of bunked up short voyages in the middle of a supply kit purposefully planned for before the event, loss of many trainers to help finish and freeze crew so I could unfreeze other crew for said event, those and everything else from the voyages not being replaced (save for the chrons), some players being greatly advantaged by all this depending on where they were at in their voyages and what their skills changed to (mine changed to my lowest skill for primary so made the disastrous decision of recalling, not knowing the next would be recalled early too), others like me being greatly disadvantaged by it, but everyone receiving the same 1000 chrons regardless of whether it saved you a bunch of hours of recall or totally slashed the day. Now have to spend a bunch of honour on trainers lost from the day of bunked voyages, forget the honour that was lost in them too,
But this wasn't atypical of a day for me in voyages since they began. Every couple days things like this happen with failure bugs, stuck voyages, missing dilemmas, restarting several times to try to fix it, and every single voyage has the skills change (usually only at the beginning, sometimes partway through). I can't take and upload and mail screenshots and send tickets for all of them and don't want to harass CS with it so much.
I'm sure in this economy, many people could use the work, if DB wants to do QA instead of releasing beta in the guise of new otherwise super features. It would probably end up saving more time and money on CS and stuff in the long run anyways.
I still want an explanation of how Shan claimed that the Senior QA engineer tested buying packs live in production and got the new crew before Erin acknowledged that the packs were broken.
For as much as this bug sucked for a lot of people, I think this is the first time I can remember where one issue appeared to motivated DB to quite the degree that this one did.
Three different DB folks took time to pop in here and let us know, in a timely fashion, what was happening. The final resolution wasn't perfect, but it was quick and came after some a concerted group effort.
This is appreciated, if for no other reason than all the times when Shan gets stuck dealing with our indignant bitching, with clearly limited abilities to say anything "off-script" or outside of a pure PR mode (while the actual devs and programmers are distressingly silent and absent). This is why I jokingly said Shan should be called "Shan Spicer" some months ago.... today, perhaps, "SaraH Huckabee Shanders" should be the go-to? Either way, the point is, there are times when it's pretty easy to tell when it's not the messenger's fault that the message is faulty.
Today, that was different, and the messanger did a great job initiating the discussion, at which point, the movers and the shakers chimed in and appeared to be fully vested in getting thing right. Bravo.
So now that I've said that, is it too soon to point out that all the times this Quick Response does NOT happen, it will now be a depressing indication that DB considers that to be a non-issue? Because there are a bunch of really screwed up things lately that demand SOME kind of response, and there has been none.
To wit: (1) seriously, who in the blue hell thinks that what happened to the Battle Arena today is anything other than a Mistake, OR a middle finger to the players? Or (2) if DB is as upset and disappointed by the "necessary" change in event info distribution as players are (which was their claim), why was there not some corresponding change to the Cryovault mechanic to alleviate the massive inconvencience said change has caused players?
I could go on, but I remember I started this as a POSITIVE post about today's issue and DB's response. Ergo, I shall cease digressing!
Just a little update on the whole recall situation (and a bit of a warning).
I saw the message about the recall and went to check my ongoing voyage. As indicated it showed the status complete. So I clicked on the window and claimed my rewards. Upon returning to the starmap I saw that the status of my voyage had changed ad was now showing critical. I opended it and saw the voyage log with to options to either refill or abandon. So, since I had just claimed my voyage-rewards, I choose abandon. When I returned to my main screen however I found that the rewards claim I had done had not taken hold and that now all my voyage -rewards were gone.
Yes, I send support a mail about this but I thought it might be a good idea to inform other players before they fall into the same situation as I did.

Update on what I know so far:
- earlier today, with the server push, we sent some fixes for Voyages issues such as skill changing and some Voyages getting stuck
- those fixes did not have the desired effect and created additional issues as reported in this thread
We have pushed a hotfix for this around 14:45 ET and can now confirm that:
• the skills that changed today after Noon ET are now back to what they should have been
• some of the Voyages that got into a stuck state after Noon ET are now resuming
• the bug causing Voyage skills to change after 00:00 UTC if you were already logged in at that time should now be fixed
We are aware that there are still stuck Voyages, from today and the days before.
This is currently under investigation, the goal being to be able to get those Voyages going again but also to make sure it will not happen again. I have no ETA at this time.
I am currently waiting on more information regarding compensation.
Is that just for this latest problem, or has this fixed the "Need to restart between voyages" bug too?
I was told (by support) that disciplines change between every voyage, it states in this thread that they change at 00:00 UTC, which is true?
I've suggested before, and I don't know why it is so difficult, but the latest disciplines should be updated every time the Start Voyage button is pressed (with another "Hailing Startfleet"), one more of those added to the endless list won't hurt if we can then trust what we are seeing when assigning crew.
@Shan@Admiral Prince I did not get any option to claim any Voyage Rewards. I just see a failure message with no log, only 2 button - Revive using Dil or Abandon. I had not visited forum or even read the in game message, I started the game and went directly to Voyages to resolve a Dilemma and instead got failure. I restarted the game 5 times already and still nothing.
I was so lucky in the last Voyage (which DB had to 'forcefully' end), I had got 2 different 4* crew and both would have led to immortalizing my existing FE 3/4* crew. Due to the prospect of Immortalizing 2x4* crew i even did a Dil revive on the 'forcefully' ended Voyage and still it says voyage has failed.
Genuinely if there is a problem, communicate it effectively. DB should communicate issues and resolution so that people are aware of them and act accordingly. The game start pop-up could be used for the communication but no that is only reserved for cash grab stuff (packs) only. I could have added 2 more immortalized crew, 1.2k+ chrons and loads of other stuff but now I have lost 600+ dil and have got NOTHING. DB Do Better.

Hi GLF and Gesu,
I'm not sure I understand your situations. Are you saying you abandoned your voyage prior to the forced recall, but didn't check the status until after the recall was complete?
Or are you saying that you claimed your rewards after the forced recall, but are now getting an error state of some sort?
As for the restoration of rewards, that's not something support has the ability to provide currently,

Phd,
My understanding is that Voyage skills do change at 00:00 UTC.
The server push yesterday afternoon was supposed to fix skills being swapped if you happened to start right around then. That didn't happen.
We'll provide an update once we've confirmed how we're going to approach resolving this issue.
There are more sweeping bug fixes for Voyages coming in the next client update, and we'll provide more details on that as well.

Interesting as when I've provided screen shots in the past of lost rewards due to bugs on a voyage, I've received at least part of those rewards back. Has supports rights changed or has policy changed preventing them from doing so?

Pallidyne,
I was referring to Player Support not having a specific tool to restore awards. Reading through my response, I see I didn't give any indication of my intent.
Any compensation, to the best of my knowledge, is a manual process right now.

Ah that makes a lot more sense. Thank you for the clarification.

Also, we are aware that getting support for Voyages-related bugs is more time-consuming and manual than it should be. We are actively working on both cutting down the bugs while making it easier for Player Support to manage these tickets.

@Black Pebble what about my case, I didnt get any rewards from my last Voyage as communicated by @Admiral Prince . I just got a failure message with 2 options to either Revive or Abandon. I spent Dil on Revive once and it was still failed and had to abandon it.
I was referring to Player Support not having a specific tool to restore awards.
You said above that support cannot restore awards then how would I get rewards I was supposed to get and the Dil i wasted on reviving the voyage multiple times?
It's not important to me but I didn't get any rewards for the forced recall voyages on main and free account. The only thing it listed was the number anomalies and redshirts and light years traveled. The rewards area was blank.

I posted this to another thread yesterday before dbb sent the. Message about the bug. All. Just curious. I just setup a new voyage last night with a total of 22k across all with gold dip and silver sec. Totalling 12k themselves. Today I look at 5 hours in and the focus has changed to gold cmd and silver dip... I never noticed it changing during vo/age before. It does away with any pre voyage calculations or setup. Anyone else notice this as it definitely has bearing on calculations... I do have screenshots.

Hi Black Pebble,
WHen I wokle up this morning and entered the game one of the first things I did was read the messages. So I read the message about the forced recall. Then I went to the star-map and saw that, indeed, the voyage-square in the lower-lefthand corner showed complete. I clicked on the square and got the option to claim my voyage-rewards. So I clicked on claim. After that (and under the impression that I had claimed the voyage-rewards) I returned to the star-map. I was a bit bewildered to see that the voyage-square now showed the voyage critical icon and clicked on that again. I got the voyage log and was given the option to either refill and continue the voyage or abandon the voyage (as normal with a critical). Since I knew that the voyage had been forced-recalled and I also had allready clicked on claim when I saw the completed voyage, I decided not to waste dilithium on the refill but rather go for abandon (thinking this was some weird glitch). Then I returned to the starmap, saw that the voyage-square was now start-ready and continued on to the normal view-screen since I wanted to fuse the two purple crew members I got from my six-hour voyage with their incomplete counterparts. However Upon looking at the crewlist those two new crew were missing. I also noticed, upon closer inspection, that my chroniton amount had not been increased by the 550 chronitons that were part of the voyage-rewards. This lead me to conclude that something was wrong. So I closed the steam-window and restarted the game. The rewards (crew and chronitons) were still missing. So thats the long version. I saw complete, did the claim on the completed voyage and then, after that, did the abandon of the voyage. We'll see what customer support makes of it .

Hi PB
When to the Galaxy Map page, it showed my voyage as being "complete". On clicking the voyage, it immediately went to the report summary page listing the stats for the voyage, but after clicking "claim", I was taken back to the galaxy map where the voyage simply showed as system failure. While I cannot do a full comparison of the inventory to know if I got the items/honor, I certainly know I was not award any of the chronitons. It seems like I got none of the rewards.
Support have essentially said nothing other than they won't be doing anything. So despite the uneven collection of voyage rewards (hundreds of honor, chronitons, items, etc), DB are not going to do anything to level this out?
