    So... Today's is slightly better than yesterday's? I guess that's a win.

    It is indeed slightly better. I see it this way: I’m saving money today and yesterday, which is probably a good thing.

    Not a bad offer. The price is cheaper than the dils value

    It is looking like $24.99 is the theme. But only three offers so far, so certainly does not have to be.

    Started off great, then an offer that was not bad but paled next to the previous one, and now a slightly better offer than last.

    I mean if you could afford it you would have 120 packs 19500 dil. and 4500 Chron. for about $150. (and a partridge in a pear tree)

  • Are they all going to be the 20 packs and some dilithium for $25? Can we get some $5 and $10 deals and some that do not involve portal packs that have too many crew to be very useful?

    I bit. It is slightly better than the usual 15+3000+3000 which I always use to buy. Outcome was underwhelming but ok.

    Last years $10 for 15 packs and 1500 DIL is still the best offer on a DIL equivalent per dollar basis.

    Hmm. Yesterday's offer (which I bought) was 20 packs, 4500 Chrons & 4500 Dil for $25. According to my calculations, $10 for 1500 Dil is 150 Dil per dollar spent, but $25 for 4500 Dil is 180 Dil per dollar spent. Right? Or am I misunderstanding what you were saying?

    I look at packs + dil. I convert packs to dil equivalent and then compare that DIl/$ to other offers.

    20 Packs + 4,500 DIL = 20 * 650 DIL + 4,500 = 13,000 DIL = 13,000 DIL/$25 = 700 DIL/$
    10 Packs + 1,500 DIL = 10 * 650 DIL + 1,500 = 9,750 DIL = 9,750 DIL/$10 = 1,125 DIL/$

    For comparisons sake.
    10 Packs + 0 DIL = 10 * 650 DIL = 6,500 DIL = 6,500 DIL/$10 = 650 DIL/$
    0 Packs + 3000 DIL = 3,000 DIL = 3,000 DIL/$4 = 750 DIL/$

    The 20 + 4500 for $25 was a good offer. But it's still slightly less valuable than the monthly card.
    The 10 + 1500 for $10 is still the only offer I've seen to offer more DIL equivalent per $ than the monthly card.

    But 20 packs + 4500 DIL would be 17500 DIL with your DIL equivalent calculation. While 10 + 1500 would only be 8000, not 9750. Unless I am either tired or miss a part of your calculation...

    Sorry, typos all over when I copied from excel and started looking at the wrong rows.

    15 Packs + 1500 DIL = 15 * 650 + 1500 = 9750 + 1500 = 11250 DIL => 11250 DIL/$10 = 1,125 DIL/$
    20 Packs + 4500 DIL = 20 * 650 + 4500 = 13000 + 4500 = 17500 DIL => 17500 DIL/$25 = 700 DIl/$

    0 Packs + 3000 DIL = 0 * 650 + 3000 = 0 + 3000 = 3000 DIL => 3000 DIL/$4 = 750 DIL/$

    How about this for a pattern.

    Tomorrow's offer the same offer plus 750 dil. more.
    Monday's offer better than Sunday's by 750 dil. making it a total of 4500 dil.

    Sunday destroyed that pattern. But $24.99 Pattern in US still seems to be holding. 25 may be for Christmas being on the 25th.

    My wallet is hoping for some bad offers.

  • so far all the offers are some kind of disappointing.
    why?
    all offers are for money and total standard (packs/chrons/dil) ,no variation... on day could be begolds/citations/packs for honor,another day could be dil. discount on packs. one day you can buy voyage tokens etc.

    so many possibilities...

    to be fair, there are some days left, but i doubt there will be more variations:(
    (and i dont mean the variation in the offers for money;) )

    So far I’ve chosen wisely. Bought them twice when they were 4500 and 3000 dilithium and didn’t buy them when they weren’t. Today’s is the least attractive so far
  • Whoever thought these offers up needs a good kicking, first one was a no-brainer to buy, subsequent offers are progressively worse, so also no-brainers to pass on. They're not even tempting, give it more thought please!
  • I've chosen wisely too. Did buy the first offer twice. 9k dilithium for maxing the crew slots and buying some additional crew packs. 9k chronitons for leveling. And 40 standard packs on top of that.

    All other offers so far didn't impress me an inch.

    I think they did the offers backwards. They should have been going up in value, not down. I will buy the first deal again if they put it up.

    I'm sorry to say that today's offer **tsk tsk**. Big time. Do NOT buy it.

    Yes but think of the backlash DB would receive if they did go backwards. "Hey, I bought this offer, but then you give us a really good one the next day! I want my $ back!" and so forth.

    I would say IMO the offers fall into 2 categories so far:

    • Pretty Decent
    • Mediocre

    At least they haven't given us Replicator rations with ship schematics!

    Glass half full people. We get 12 days of offers to pick an choose from.

    Technically, to pick offers, we should know about them beforehand.

    They don't want you to know in advance. They also don't want you to know if today's will be the best offer or not. Each offer is limited time and designed for you to think, "I need to buy this now or I won't get anything as good later". Varying the offer each day and never letting you know if tomorrow's will be better or worse all helps achieve that. If you were only planning to buy one offer then letting you know in advance let's you pick that one. Now they temp you every day, and once you pick, if tomorrow's offer is better, well now you'll think about buying a second one.

    My only criticism is they're all so similar.
    They could have offered more Dil and less packs. They could have offered citations. They could have offered different price points. Right now it has all been $25 for 20 packs and a different amount of DIL.
  • In a way I'm glad I'm saving money but I really wish I bought the first offer twice. I only got one because I was sure I was gonna spend more during this sale.

    I, too, wish they had a bit more variety in their offers. With the first one being so awesome I don't see the point in getting any for the same price but seemingly less value. Would be great if they had a couple cheaper ones.

    Bought the first day's offer. It has been very easy to say "no" to subsequent inferior offers since...
