Temporary Achievements

All, has anyone seen the "Temporary Achievements" yet and what do they look like? Also, what does Shan mean by "Next Reset"? I suspect plenty of time to do all based on the message, but curious. Thanks!!

This is what they look like:
By “next reset”, I believe Shan meant when the game resets daily at 00:00 US ET (05:00 UTC). 🖖
One billion per cent agree.
Absolutely - ahem, good ol' one skill Scotty before St. Patrick's Day maybe?
So a Scottish character should be featured before a holiday associated with Ireland? You do know those are distinct countries right?
But Scotty sure drinks like an irishman.
Because they screwed up localization and it's Feb 11th.
This is a great idea!
Probably wouldn't be terribly hard to run a query of what old cards do lots of ppl have at 2* or less.
⬆️ This is a genius idea!! Keep an eye on this one.
That's true! You could go with popular demand.
I was also thinking you could combine a few of these into one achievement (ie. 50 dilemmas, 50 scans, 250 gauntlet rounds) and the reward could be a repeatable legendary citation.
They could just go through some of the old cards. If it's one you already have FF, it's free honor. If you don't have that particular card and don't want it, it's free honor again. 🤷🏼♂️

Since the new McCoy is one-skill, I'm going to start with the other one-skill legendary, Captain Scott. I'm basing my numbers on DB's current 4-week example. I'm choosing Space battles because Scotty was always fixing the ship during and after battles. Away Team Missions because he was beaming everyone here and there. And because of it's the Captain Scott variant who was pulled out of a transporter buffer, I'll pick the closest thing in the game: Revive from cryo chamber.
Captain Scott
1) 280 Space Battles
2) 280 Away Team Missions
3) Revive 14 crew from cryo stasis
Another personal favorite is Judge Q. He runs the gaunlet, so that's an obvious choice. He also thrives on forcing humans to make tough decisions, so dilemmas is my next choice. And finally, since he sent you flying about to fix things, spend chronitons.
Judge Q
1) 100 Gauntlet rounds
2) 15 Dilemmas
3) Spend 2,000 chronitons
(That's less than twenty 4-chroniton missions per day.)
Those are a couple of mine. What would you make players do to earn one (or more) of your favorites?
Yeah, I was just teasing. This game regularly forgets that they have a large player base outside the US.
Kai Opaka
1) 25 Shuttles
2) 280 Away Missions
3) 10 Scans
Seven of Nine
Her gauntlet power has waned a bit and she’s not a top voyager, but she is a favorite character and has been around long enough that a good number of people probably already have one copy. As a Borg from Voyager that is useful in the gauntlet, I think the following make sense:
1) 25 Borg shuttle missions
2) 15 voyage dilemmas
3) 100 gauntlet battles
Kal-if-fee Kirk
His usefulness in the gauntlet ended years ago and is even less everywhere else on a day-to-day basis but could be decent as a Kirk variant once immortal. Also, I have him at 1/5* and can’t imagine how bad a behold would have to be to prefer him. Kirk obviously went on a ton of away missions and this version is defined by one-on-one combat; picking a third item was a little harder so I went with something to reflect his skill in space battles.
1) 280 away missions
2) 100 gauntlet battles
3) 50 arena tickets used
Laborer Spock
He’s not *that* decrepit but this came as much from him being 1/5* on my crew as much as brainstorming other things to complete for the achievements. Spock had to be rather crafty during the trip to the Great Depression, while on the hunt for McCoy and trying to deal with Kirk’s fling with Edith Keeler.
1) 20 scans
2) 100 items constructed (incl. Galaxy events)
3) 25 time portal purchases
EV Suit Archer
He was handed out for free once, so a lot of people have him but most probably haven’t immortalized him yet. This Archer has some technical skills and Archer in general was skilled at diplomacy even if he wasn’t terribly diplomatic about it. Unfortunately, he had to write more than a couple letters for deceased crew during the Xindi crisis as well.
1) 1 purchase from every faction store
2) 280 space battles
3) 20 crew dismissed
Enemy Lines Sisko
Last idea, again mostly as a result of brainstorming achievement possibilities than anything else. Really, these could be applied to nearly any Sisko but he’s on my crew at less than 5/5*, and so I chose him over some of the others.
1) 7000 starbase components donated
2) 280 away missions
3) 25 Bajoran shuttle missions
Grilka
Quark had to enter a duel because of here (--> gauntlets). She probably had to travel a while to get to DS9 (--> Voyages). And I seem to remember that Quark always wanted to give women he found interesting presents (--> equipment).
1) 100 gauntlet battles
2) One voyage of at least 8 hours
3) Equip at least 25 items on crew members
Grand Nagus Zek
1) Aquire 200 gold pressed latinum (any rarity)
2) Spend 1,000,000 credits
3) Buy 15 items from Ferengi Traditionalists faction store
I would also like to work in replicator uses and throwing out items with the new update. Not sure who that might fit, however.
Three Dilemmas left. Voyage that just started should make at least four:
Three Gauntlet Rounds done at around 1400, when the Gauntlet Crew reset.
Gonna collect all three at once. Instead of spacing them out.

There’s plenty of space for it in the Ready Room with the Daily Missions, etc.:
🖖
I really like the idea of temporary achievements. It's basically "weekly/monthly" missions.
Daily Bonus: "You need to turn up. Have a cookie."
Daily Missions: "You need to do stuff today. If you do, you can have some candy."
Untitled possible new thing: "You have a deadline in a month. Make sure it's done, and we'll treat you to dinner."
Campaigns: "Make sure you exercise every day. The more exercise you do, the fitter you will get and we'll give you a nicer treat each time."
Achievements: "At some point before you die, you should at least try and hit these goals. If you do, you'll get something good. But only once. Unless we make a mistake."
There is certainly a place for it.

I like the way you think! Sounds like a great idea!
