I think a Picard/Caregiver mega is kind of meh. Given the plot of ST:Picard, at least as far as we understand it, I think we're more likely to see one of the following traits as a bonus for this first mega event:
Android/Synthetic
Romulan
Borg
The problem with all of those is T'Pol wouldn't qualify. If we assume T'Pol will be bonus for the entire mega, and that the mega is Picard themed I still suspect Civilian is the most likely trait.
If the mega is not Picard related, then Romantic or Caregiver are possible.
And if you want a Picard theme, then Android/Romulan/Borg are possible.
Another option would be Picard, Data, Seven variants and all new crew from Picard series. Those would likely mean T'Pol would not be bonus for the entire mega.
Note, the thread subject has a spoiler warning. I see no reason to include spoiler tags for information revealed in the first episode.

Since this thread is not specifically about discussing ST: Picard, my feeling is that using spoiler tags allows those players who wish to take part in speculating about the mega to at least do so without having to worry about being spoiled for something which is possibly only tangentially related (or perhaps not at all related).
In any case, I thought of one other possibility — and I won't spoiler tag this, because it was part of the trailers — Romulans play a big part in the series, or at least this season, so with T'Pol's inclusion, it could revolve around the shared heritage of Romulans and Vulcans. Again, just a thought. I do agree with Matt that these ideas are kind of "meh", but as Avi stated, just speculating on how the two things could potentially be tied together.

I wonder how many crew would meet each of those traits and historically how many bonus crew we’ve seen in previous megas. I’m sure someone has that info somewhere...
If it is a Picard Mega then likely T’pol will only be bonus the first week which would give me an excuse to skip that week or not get the legendary which would be nice since expeditions are annoying.
one of Picard's Romulan caregivers ends up being Commander Tomalak's kid or something of the like...that would be both ironic and maybe a reason to bring Commander Low-resolution as event crew

Yes this would make sense, that was my assumption too, which is why I'm convinced we're not getting a ST: Picard mega this month. Characters will most likely appear in packs first, which sux because packs sux but that's what DB likes to do.
If we assume T'Pol will be bonus for the entire mega, and that the mega is Picard themed I still suspect Civilian is the most likely trait.
That sounds reasonable!
EDIT: I just checked the number of civilians in the vault and they're probably too many to be bonus crew, espcially if it will be a Picard mega and all Picard verions will get a bonus too
(Spoiler below for the first episode of Picard, although not a huge plot spoiler or anything, so it won't ruin the show for you if you haven't seen it yet. )
There is a nurturer/caretaker on the new show, as well. A Romulan woman named Laris, as played by Orla Brady, seems to fill a lot of personal duties for Picard. She tends to his wounds, so some MED would be appropriate; and probably DIP for her subtle and gentle support and persuasion. Traits: Romulan, Caregiver (there are two I never thought I'd see together), Chef, Survivalist. But apparently she only appears in two episodes. I really like her character, though, and hope she makes an appearance in the game.
She tends to Jean-Luc in a similar way that T'Pol tended to Jonathan in that episode, so perhaps a theme built around that notion somehow? It's a bit of a stretch, but I thought it worth commenting on. 🖖
Given that they probably won't give us a version of Picard or Seven as the recurring mega legendary, I hope it will be her (see above^) instead. She would probably have MED as her primary skill, which is always useful.

All players got mailed the first Disco character to be released in-game ... 2* Lt Commander Saru ... if it is to be a Picard mega (based on the show) ... then this might be something DB could do.
FO Burnham was the second one released, in "best-of" portal packs, about 2 weeks before the first Disco mega-event ...
For context, there was no trait bonus throughout the first mega ("The Process of Assimilation"). In six of the other fifteen, the Week 1 5* and their variants were not Bonus Crew in subsequent weeks:
"Ghosts of the Past" (Discovery, Andorians): Dress Uniform Scotty
"Superior Ambition" (Augments): Enemy Lines Sisko
"The Hand That Feeds" (Dominion): Alternate Future Jadzia Dax
"Photonic Fantasies" (Holograms): Tuxedo Nog
"Presents and Futures" (Pilots): Mountaineer Spock
"Captive Intent" (Interrogators): Krenim Guest Paris
Additionally, there was Resilient Tuvok in Week 1 of "Month of Hell" (Survivalists). He was the only Tuvok to be Bonus the rest of that mega.
Don’t forget, he wasn’t originally a Survivalist. Db added it after the first week, I didn’t go for him because he wasn’t bonus all month.
I actually did forget. Wasn't it in time for him to be Bonus in Weeks 2-4, though?
Yes, and those of us who did not bother ranking to get him intentionally were pretty frustrated they made that change after the event was finished, as his value would have been more significant than it otherwise was.

If Feb is not a Picard mega I think many will be disappointed especially since they had a Discovery mega right when that show started so the pattern had been established.

Yes, but this is a show called Star Trek: Picard. If DB does a Picard mega, they don't have to make all Picard variants bonus crew obviously, but it would be the easiest way for them to choose bonus crew in this case. DISCO had a ton of new characters (especially in season 1) whereas a lot of the people in Picard already appeared in previous shows (and the actors are the same). If they want to give us some bonus crew from week one, making it all Picards + some trait would be a simple solution.
It could also be some trait + all the new cards from Star Trek: Picard, but even then, Civilian would mean 70+ (probably more, I didn't count) super-rare and legendary bonus crew.
I'm going to speculate that they don't run bonus pools twice the size of anything seen previously. I'd be down for a caregiver bonus, though.
Knowing DB, they'll pick some trait with 140 crew, but hand select half of them, leaving us in terrible shape for trying to tediously sort through our crew. That would be consistent with recent behavior.

Mountaineer Spock has the Pilot trait. Captive Intent was Prisoners/Interrogators, so Krenim Guest Paris still received bonuses.
whoever is in the mega,i´m pretty sure we will get something like "Chateau Picard"
and we will get a "Dahj version"... maybe we can get both "versions" of her to fuse something we dont know yet...
someone suggested a maddox version-i dont like this guy,but if we see him on picard,it have to appear in the first three episodes, right?
so the mega starts on 6th feb.?
one episode left until then, and the third episode arrives right after the beginning of the mega.
can we expect to see for example maddox, riker, troi etc. in the first three episodes?
more likely we will get cards with picards "new crew",for example the doc from daystorm okinava, one or both romulans who are living with picard and the rest we surely will see in the next two episodes.
i dont need the romulan guy at the end of episode one,but maybe he will be a 3*char and quickly goes into the freezer^^
and can we expect a new ship from "picard" for a picard mega? dont know what u guys think about the new "warbird"/romulan ship(s) we saw in episode one,but could be an option, too
for more chars it would maybe make more sense to place a picard-mega after the first season ends, but we´ll see:) - i would like a picard-mega right now,but not 100% sure about it
but will jean luc himself be the legedary char for this mega? he pretty sure will, right?
is there even another possibility?;p

still some nonesense-kurtzman/goldsman stuff in there, but well, the charackter picard is on point imo for what we know him for and after all whats happened to him - so i´m just thankful for this and after a long time i cant wait to keep on watching)

Akimbo Seven of Nine Mega Recurring, or we light the pitchforks and sharpen the torches..........
"The truth is like a lion; you don't have to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself."
I'm not really expecting the next mega to be explicitly Picard themed - the one after though, I do.
Gives DB time to get a few Picard themed cards out there via events and packs, and we can have a proper mega with "characters from PIcard + {whatever else} as bonus"
May even see a few new ships as I'm expecting we'll skirmish the synthetics over Mars at some point.

Natch! I must've missed Spock when I searched the vault for Pilots, and I just straight up forgot that "Captive Intent" also included Prisoners. The revised stats, then, are four who were only bonus in Week 1 and another three who were the only one of their character who were bonus the rest of the month. That's seven out of sixteen (or effectively seven out of fifteen since there was no trait bonus in the first mega).
someone suggested a maddox version-i dont like this guy,but if we see him on picard,it have to appear in the first three episodes, right?
I'm not expecting Maddox until the season finale, if at all. His whereabouts being unknown for a decade, and him being the one who can explain Dahj and Soji, sets him up to be a MacGuffin. Also, Brian Brophy, who played Maddox in "The Measure of a Man", hasn't had an IMDb credit since a short film in 2014. If Maddox does resurface, either they've kept a really tight lid on it or they've recast.
I do, however, anticipate 3* Commander Maddox in the rank rewards for an event with Dahj and/or Soji.

Agreed. I'm the one who mentioned Maddox. And I mentioned him for a future mega because I expect him in the Picard finale. Then DB can include him in a mega after that.
FYI for those who have already watched the first episode, there is a new and terrific RedLetterMedia review of it up already with some very interesting, ahem, plot twist speculation...

Twilight T'Pol (New) - this crew will be featured event crew in the event starting on 02/06.
Fully Fused Fully Equipped Level 100 Skills: SEC 403 (186-378), SCI 951 (90-222), MED 1034 (240-792)
Traits: Vulcan, Starfleet, Astrophysicist, Telepath, Caregiver
Can we now assume safely that one of these traits will be a/the mega bonus trait?
I'm inclined to say it will likely be Caregiver, probably not the others.
