Phlox Behold for 1,500 dilithium

  • I don't think it's a bad offer, in fact I took it to add a third star on The Full Phloxy.

But using "celebration" was probably not the best phrase to use, I mean celebrations usually involve spending, but, depending on what is being celebrated, usually on presents, drinks, etc.

When hen nights hire a stripper, I'm not sure they're thinking along the lines of a virtual Denobulan!

Defensive Phlox is MED/SCI/SEC. I struggle on all three of those voyage combos. SEC/SCI is what I really want, but I'm so weak that secondary/tertiary is good enough to get my attention.

I take it you don't have Gary Seven? If you're looking for another option in the MED+SCI+SEC combo, Twilight T'Pol has very similar combined stats to Def Phlox.

Indeed, no Gary Seven. Like Defensive Phlox, my Twilight T'Pol is 1/5. I'm not ready to drop 4 citations on either. But getting Defensive Phlox to 2/5 is closer to citation territory.

I think this is why I was so glad to snare Gladiator Spock and then cite him up, bar Gary Seven he hasn't really been trumped yet.

Generally I try and field M. Picard, FO Burnham, Surak (or Picard) Neelix (or High Roller Sisko), Gladiator Spock, Wrathful Kirk, Survivalist Kirk, Protomorphosis Barclay (4/5) EV Suit Seven (4/5) Armus (4/5), Q'Od (or Indulgent Seven), EMA.

I have 3/5 M De Neuf, Detective Data, Species 8472
    and 1/5 Maquis Tuvok.
Out of them only Species 8472 provides the best option but is only two Skills.

I also have Armus at 4/5. It's getting tempting to just drop that citation. I got two Guinans in a row (both from streaks of only 3 due to a loss in between) in the last week, so I probably won't see another legendary drop in gauntlet for another month. If I can get another Survivalist Kirk to drop, I'll probably spend the citations to finish him. EV Seven is just so weak that I don't know if I'll ever spend that citation, though I would probably swoop her up in a behold.

Late to this, but I think it's a great offer. I didn't buy it because I don't need it for any of these crew, but there are plenty that I'd happily do this for in the future.

Great idea. But next time perhaps good to avoid a gauntlet monster. Defensive Phlox will certainly make the gauntlet wall problem even worse.

If I still played gauntlet or had available crew slots I would have done it. It was a near thing though so would like to see this again with others.

Patience, young Padawan. (Oh wait, wrong franchise).

Anyway, a fifth Armus will drop eventually. Use your citation somewhere more valuable. Armus is not a strong shuttler and is only a middling voyager.

I was getting jumpy on what to do with my (very small) stockpile of citations recently, and then I pulled Gary Seven in a begold. Four citations spent instantly. And my 5/5 Armus has never boarded another shuttle or voyage since.

I have all of my factions tanked. Shuttles don't enter the equation for me. I also don't have Gary Seven. He's never shown up in a behold or anything. That's probably a factor in why SEC/SCI is so weak for me.

1500 dil is still quite a price tag

Yes, around 2 bucks with the monthly card is massive and as a result a trip to the poorhouse is the next stop ;)

Good new offer structure TP. In this case I had 2 of the cards immortalized already and did not want or need Naked Phlox. But I am looking forward to more of these offers...

Well, slightly more per Dilithium if you actually buy it in a cluster. But, saving fifteen days worth of the monthly is not bad. The offer is a great way to do this. Three good choices, and you can pick the specific one, like the free First Contact Day BeGold we had.

They should continue this method of doing the birthday celebration for actors. At least ones that have three Legendary choices.

Or, could they do a "mixed" Behold? If there are not three Legendary choices?

  • Saving dilithium for fifteen days means you missed the offer. So Scott is correct, price should be based on a 'cluster purchase'
