  • Being there's only one faction, can anyone tell me how many shuttles we will be able to launch?

    I would guess 20.
    Let’s fly!
  • I'm incredibly glad it's not a faction on the holiday weekend. Don't think my family would take kindly to me interrupting the festivities to turn around shuttles. Skirmish is pretty ideal; as long as you've got your chrons built up you can trade them in for Intel and then start battling whenever is convenient across the whole period of the event.
I hadn't considered the timing of this particular event, excellent point!

They are both quite lucky to have found each other. Here is Mary Wiseman (Tilly) and Noah Averbach-Katz (Ryn) at their wedding. Mary Wiseman, Noah, and Mary Chieffo (L’Rell) were all in the same 17 student Julliard Drama Class. This is an article talking about Mary and Noah more for those who are interested. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/08/fashion/weddings/a-life-frequently-apart-but-an-enterprise-theyll-boldly-take-on.html

Skills/Traits do make sense, based on the episodes. But, does ring a Legendary Saru bell.........

Yeah, I'm willing to push hard to get a legendary Saru - but I already have Vahar'ai at 4/5. I may hold onto my resources and hope for an Acting/Captain Saru in the future.

DIP/MED makes sense given the episode, but he doesn't do any science. SEC seems like it would have been a better tertiary, as he defends Burnham. Maybe even DIP/SEC/MED.

Yeah. Engineering just seems to be there because "Saru". I could even see Med/Sec in some order, with a Dip third. Most diplomatic thing he really did was attending a State banquet......

Maybe ENG because he could make minor repairs in her quarters? It would make sense for him to do it than to allow someone in to bug or sabotage something. He is a natural tinkerer, if the Short Trek is any clue.

  • Shan, I would realy like a reply about my observation that in factions your region causes a big advantage or disadvantage because of the fixed start end end times of the event.
And with a skirmish in the second part of the event this advantage/disadvantage becomes realy big, giving you basicly 8hours less time for your shuttles.
Which is a 6th of the total 48hour shuttle time.

Is this something which is even considered? Many games change event start time over the year because of this but WRG seems to add new event structures or rewards (wall) which bennefit certain regions.

This week's episode of Disco is very well-timed.........

This week is galaxy/faction not faction/skirmish. But in case of a faction/skirmish the skirmish half would massively overshadow the faction half in that you can get about 100,000 points a day with faction and you can easily get 100,000 points in an hour with skirmishes.

I doubt Shan can give you the answer you want, I doubt any of the original employees are still around. This game has lasted far longer than anyone would have guessed based on all the terrible public relations gaffes from earlier employees.

I would recommend enjoy the game for what it is and worry about more important things.

I understand the concerns about the scheduling of events, and even gauntlets for that matter.
It is something that has been brought up before but we do not have a solution at this time.
  • This is the first time they’ve done a hybrid galaxy/faction with the galaxy portion first right? Very interesting. Looks like the super rare turn in VP is based on a phase 1 galaxy unfortunately but oh well.

The total VP difference, between turning in ur rares in phase 1 or phase 2,
isn t even worth to bother. ;)
