Dump change, now i can chose between three allrdy FF crews. No improvement overall for veterans!!!
How about a guaranteed non FF crew member in pulls of 10? That would be a great improvment for veterans!!!
This is what I hope is the only the 1st step. Come on TP, don't come up short again. We need a "reroll" option for a behold with all 3 crew immo'd/fully fused. Charge dil, honor, or both for 1 reroll.
Founding ADM - PoF family of fleets (POF, POF2 & POF3) - Dear TP: Non sequitur. Your facts are uncoordinated.
Little disappointed it won't apply to merit/common pulls. While SR drops there are quite uncommon, and Legendaries even more so, it would make these rare instances all the more exciting.
But that's a minor nitpick. And if this is a taste of the upcoming Feb feature, I'm certainly looking forward to knowing more!
Credit pulls already were beholds for 4*/5*. Not officially promised, but in practice that's what happens.
Great change ... long time player (since 2016) but still missing a small number of crew who are available in portal because of low spend on the game.
- This is great for us low spenders to have a slightly better chance to get a last star with each pack on some 4* we own.
- Great change for VIP0 crew I would imagine too giving a higher probability to be able to add stars rather than having a new crew forced upon you (often airlock fodder).
Man did I hate straight drops ... see all my pack pull posts for each event.
Starting on Tuesday, January 12 around noon ET (17:00 UTC), each 4* and 5* crew pulled from a 1-pack Premium Rewards or a 10-pack Premium Rewards will be presented as a behold offering a choice between three crew of the same rarity.
This change will bring more versatility to the Premium Rewards packs, and will be permanent!
Great change! Who doesn't love beholds? I'd also love to see the behold appear in any slot within the pack, like it does in theme and event packs...maybe for the 6th year anniversary?
Very good change! People have been saying this for a while. I can't remember. Did they say Event Packs, as well? Because people have really been saying that for a long while. Helps if you have the existing 4 ⭐ FF......

I will add my voice to the *shrug* crowd. This does little to significantly change the odds of getting a useful character for late-game players. I'm not opposed to this change, it just adds to the very long list of recent let-downs.
It is not groundbreaking, but it is a good thing. I'm pleased. I'll still get fully fused crew, but my odds of one of the few I need are increased. No complaints.
Good but not really deserving of a teaser, I'd class it as a tweak rather then a big change.
Its a nice minor update nothing more, nothing less.
I was imagining 12 drops in a pull or something.

As a late game player who once had all purples immortalized, but stopped spending a year ago, this exactly triples the chance of getting a needed a purple. That seems like a decent increase in odds to me.

Agree here ... don't understand the sentiment really ... I consider myself a late-mid game player ... not every change in the game has to specifically benefit me for me to consider it being a generally good change.
Sure, if you have every 4* immortalised this won't do much for you individually ... but there are many that it will help (VIP0 players, mid-game players who don't have all 4*s in the portal immortalised etc.) so how is that a let down?

I mean, sure, 3 shots at (just a guess) 10 out of 400 purples is better than 1 shot. I'm just saying it's really not a lot. With those numbers, we're talking 2.5% vs. 7.3%. The issues is that it's still more than a 90% chance of a bust. Sure, I'll take the change, but a "save your packs!" teaser for that is a let-down.

Great point not only for VIP0 but also for paying new players! That was the worst part about those 10x10 packs, they used up like 5 crew slots each time. I was always unwilling to airlock new purples.

What am I missing that this doesn't feel like a huge change?
It brings me a marginally higher chance of finding one of the few 4* characters I'm still in need of, but thats not a lot of help when 9 out of 10 slots most likely go to schematics and 3* crew.
This change would have had so much more impact if it came with increase 4 and 5* drops, maybe a guarantee of x beholds (I dont mean the whole pack, but even a guarantee of 3 or 4 per pack). Since the overall pack draw odds remain the same, I dont understand everyone else's excitement at this being so significant.

My thoughts exactly. I was hoping they were going to change (instead of or in addition to the behold change) the packs to a minimum of 2 (at least) 4* or higher crew drops.
For established crews, this is just a bigger tease... the behold gives you a moment of joyful hope, before seeing the choice of three crew you've frozen at least one copy of. haha

Not sure I have seen anyone (outside of Ben on the Timelines Talks) acting like this is a HUGE upgrade.
It is an improvement. But it isn’t game-changing by any measure.
It does make it marginally easier to try and build duplicate cards (assuming that's someone's thing). The odds just went from 1 in 400 (or whatever we're up to) to 3 in 400 that you might catch the card you need.
I guess this officially answers the riddle about "something players have been asking for since the beginning of the game". As far as I'm concerned, this is a good change. Let's collectively try not to nitpick it too much.

It is cheap saying straight drop from legendaries. I have never in all my time experienced that but always had 3 to choose from, so i see it as misleading
I am in the "good, but not great" crowd. It does help with 4* straight drops in that you now have a better chance to get a card you didn't have. But it if you didn't get a straight drop in the pull, this doesn't really change anything. And if you get a behold/begold of all FF crew, it doesn't help with that.
So, not a great/huge change, but it is a good change.

It is a good change.
But it does not adress the problem that with almost 1000 cards your chance to get a Certain card are extremely low.
And a certain legendary card still lower because you first have to get that begold.
SIMPLIFIED: When there were 200 cards tge chance for one of them was 1/200 or 0.5%. But with 1000 cards the chance of that card is 1/1000 or 0.1%
The fact that if you will get be choice of 3legendaries IF you hit a legendary does not chance that very much.
It is also why people do not buy cites outside the honor sale. A cite is now the only reasonable chance to get those 5* on the legendaries you want. Because the chance to get them from a pack has become so extremely low.
If you buy premium packs the chance that what you get is useless is just so high at the moment.
Also consider Coffee Janeway, Mutated Paris and all those Ones and Zeros. Finishing their merges will become less tedious.

She was my first duplicate. Love her character ❤
Is it sacrilege to post... the "other one"... on a Trek page? 🤔😉
Before anyone jumps on me, I like both. 🤪
That’s my bad. Must have clicked on the wrong celebration video to get a Star Wars one. Let me do a different celebration gif.
