Interesting, the mega recurring has been moved to a threshold of 400k - no ore coasting if you want to get that card to 4/5

Did you learn nothing from Convergence Day and how much people will complain and moan until they get their "rightfully deserved" freebies?

That said, it is a dick move to change the format without any notification or warning.

This. As someone who has been accused of white knighting for WRG and “toxic positivity,” I am here to say that intentionally moving the threshold for the recurring 5* is going to radically upset two critical groups of players:

-new players just looking to get any legendary crew at all, never mind one that’s 4/5* or immortal

-veteran players who eschew certain event types...I, for example, have no intention of clearing 400k VP in any Galaxy event - I’d rather flush every copy of the recurring legendary I do get out the airlock than be forced to drop another citation or roll the dice on the wrap-up packs

These two groups represent future sales and current sales...it would be a bad idea to lose either of these things.

I'm going to assume this is a mistake as there are frequently mistakes in event reward tables until players bring it to WRG's attention. And with a week before the event there's plenty of time to fix it. No need to get the pitchforks out just yet.

My guess is that they grabbed the rerun template instead of the regular mega template. The event preceding a mega is usually a rerun, so they may have just mixed themselves up this time by running a flashback instead.

Not to mention it makes the recurring 5* utterly unattainable by new captains. And, the mega 5* is one of the first ways in which a newbies starts to gain ground in this game. Honestly, this had better be a mistake.

Agreed on both points. We all like some kinds of events better than others, and put more effort (and money) into some than others. Moving the recurring character to 400k is a poor choice and I hope it's reversed.

Does the mega arrive in the mailbox or do we have to do work to get it? Enlighten us all. What in your "humble" opinion is the rank or threshold point between reward and "freebies"?

Mind you, Lothario Q is quite underwhelming. He barely ekes into the Top 150 for overall Voyage scores, and his only ranked pair is a paltry #5 DIP/MED in the Gauntlet. Has there ever been a weaker recurring legendary at introduction?

I really like the new Troi is Med-Com but am a little disappointed her stats and Lothario Q’s are not better. Hope event recurring does not stay so high. If the first is so hard to get most players will just check out of the whole mega.

I stand corrected.

Although at least she was useful in Gauntlet for new players (her lack of a third skill really hurts her there, but she's still #3 for CMD/DIP).

I think they gave her ENG as a third skill based on her hair alone, as an in-joke.

I don’t remember anything ENG about her skill set.

Not only is 400,000 very difficult or impossible for most players to get in a faction event, for those that do get the event recurring legendary it will not be till near the end. That means the event recurring is unusable for the first event he is event crew on. That greatly reduces the benefit of him.

Emperor Borg Drone (SC)

Lothario Q has MED and CMD (even if they're only his secondary and tertiary skill) so he will probably be useful for voyages, at least for players who don't have many options for that skill combination.

But I also hope that they didn't move the recurring legendary to 400k

Awesome! Thanks! 400k would be out of reach and the recurring 5 star cards are a great feature of the mega events

It is also ridiculous and confusing to get a popup for an event EVERY TIME I open the app, let alone one that is over a week away from starting, especially before the upcoming event has even started!

This behavior needs to be changed.

Thanks Shan. Understand lots going on for your team at the moment, but wanted to share the feedback. Of course I'll be patient... I didn't even put an exclamation point or angry emoji at the end of my request.
