Something we have to remember with this is honor sale, is that it symbolised the very underwhelming festive and anniversary celebrations for many.
This has led to a lot of passion and frustration around the expectations of the sale, it would be a massive error to change the sale now.
If they want to change the sale in the future and that is communicated properly, for all to know then that would be disappointing but acceptable as the community would the be prepared.
As it has been said, communication is key and people in general like to feel they have some control of what they're doing and expectations had been created.
If we could potentially have a calender of events announced at the beginning of each month, imagine how much of the frustrations could be potentially diluted.
Why are people suggesting alternative ways of going about having honor sales? I'm happy, and I'm sure most people were happy with how the sales worked last time. Don't give them crazy ideas or ways to limit our spending.
If we have one last one like the Honor Sale we've had the previous two times, I'll be happy.
Then after that I'd be fine with them mixing up the formula, maybe to include constellations/polestars or something involving honor plus the new feature.
But I've been calculating my honor in batches of 40k! I really hope they don't change that for the upcoming one.

Ben suggested it in the podcast. Most of us are trying to say it's a really bad idea, and using crew retrieval as an excuse is only going to upset people further.

Ditto. Do it like last time. If they want it to be the last of its kind, that's fine as long as they communicate exactly that. I've posted a couple ideas for alternate sales (AFTER MARCH). I look forward to posting more ideas to incorporate Crew Retrieval after we get a chance to use the feature for a while. Or maybe they should be separate sales. Just... give us this one last "normal" honor sale.
