Mine was a problem. Got the “rarity” constellation (which I suspect everyone will), and happily opened it... to get THE UNCOMMON polestar. What the heck? Really? Thanks for the LITERAL trash.

I can confirm that the scan resets to 1%, then increased to 3% after the failed scan.
Boy, you are nothing if not persistent. I think we all know you have real concerns about this new feature, despite the fact it hasn’t even gone live yet. You don’t need to keep continually reminding us.
I’m willing to give it a go before making judgment.
He’s 100% right. There should be no UNCOMMON polestar. It’s to limit the pool to 2* crew. EVEN a new player would have 0 use for that polestar. NONE.

mine was FO Saru which gave me survivalist, can't wait to see who it'll let me get once this goes live for real...
Btw, looks like scan ads are on a 30 minute timer like regular missions, so space out your ISM scans to get double scans (re-scans, doesn't duplicate the scan reward) and make more progress toward the scan temp achievement if you're on a platform that allows them.

Ad scans are 30 minutes apart from my testing this morning. It's a combination of normal scan behavior (must scan to trigger an ad-scan) and dabo behavior (each ad-scan is free, but escalates the cost of the next scan).
If you scan 3 times (30+ minutes apart) and ad-warp each one, it will cost 400 ISM and save you 800 ISM daily.
Below is the cost for consecutive scans (resets daily) and bold would be the ones that you ad-warp

Picked up the Rarity Constellation ... immortalised 1* Uhura, said I'd never dupe crew, but just wanted to see what I'd get ... The Skill Constellation can wait for this weekend.

I didn't open the rarity and skill constellations from crew immortalization, since I won't need them as long as I don't have a combination of polestars that I actually want to use.
Just wondering, if I dumped my garbage on your doorstep, would you complain about that 'free stuff'? Because that's literally what he received - garbage. It is not a gift.
Will the complaint be more valid when you get a Common Rarity Polestar that you work for?
It's a kind of valid point that having 1*/2* Rarity Polestar is kind of rough, if people are trying for a 4*/5*. Just because this one happened to be "free" does not take away the frustration.....

You seem nice. While I feel like my humble post has somehow been injected into some previous scrap between forum users, could you, pray tell, explain the use of the “Uncommon” rarity polestar? So far Apollo seems to be the only one who gets it.
I am complaining, with cause, about something that needs complaining about. Because I am of the opinion an Uncommon rarity polestar is not a helpful addition to the game, and serves no purpose. What player, of any level, is going to be able to spend the copious amounts of resources to do crew retrieval... and then be best served by limiting the resulting pool to 2*? And if you are looking for a real specific uncommon card, you are using MULTIPLE polestars, and spending even more resources (I.e. no beginner will be doing it), and would be better served by a random chance for a gold with those traits in any case.
And it wasn’t “FREE”, this was given to everyone because they met a precondition, even if that precondition is anyone playing their game. By virtue of playing, being involved in their game with my time, ad watches, and occasionally money, it ain’t free, lol. So yeah, I wish my “free” item was worthwhile, like everyone else’s appears to have been...

Hi Arnie! A rarity might not be required if you can limit the trait combo you have to exclusively gold cards... like, “Augment”, “Survivalist”, and “Villain” will limit the result to Wrathful Khan (IIRC).
