As self confessed hoarders, do you allow yourself to spend 5m credits on retrieval? Or just save them for the next dabo?
For some reason now I'm conscience of my credits and stopped doing pulls, they dont seem to grow very quickly.
Let’s do some math to see if that would be a good use of credits or not. First, some assumptions:
-credits are not a limiting factor
-another Dabo sale is run one year from now
-the Dabo sale has the same prices and runs for 10 days
1) You can save your credits and spend 100,000,000 to buy ten random legendary crew 12 months from now in the prospective Dabo sale.
2) Or you can use Crew Retrieval to pull one new targeted legendary every 18-19 days (without buying Quantum): 19 crew over the same time at 5,000,000 each for a total of 95,000,000 credits.
It would be insane to hoard credits for the purpose of a Dabo sale when you could get nearly double the crew at a slightly lower credit cost...and get exactly the crew you want rather than a bunch of randos.

To be fair you'll also get some potentially useful 4* crew.
Of course, that sale may never come. I had 500K honour hoarded for this years Xmas Honour Sale. Which never happened.
That’s true - the Dabo sale would have a high chance for some 4* crew (albeit not necessarily anything more than 200 honor each), plus items and schematics - but still, I think the near-doubling of the legendary crew count is a far better deal.
And yes, there may never be another Dabo sale. Or if it comes back, maybe the prices will be vastly different? Who can say how WRG will take feedback from the players here and from other sources as well as purchases made during the sale?
Reading this has changed my attitude to the dabo sale, wont be worrying about it from now on.

Since I stopped buying Campaigns (4 months ago) the hoarding has slowed down considerably on a number of things in the Boosts & Kits department ...
I was also doing well starting a decent pile of ISM ... but I just pulled 3 Constellations since yesterday afternoon so that hit my ISM for a cool 3.000.
- Supply Kits: 59
- 10x Boost packs: 40 (in total for both rarities).
- Crew pulls: 0 (still missing so many crew silly not to do the pulls).
- Credits: 15.5 million
- Chronitons: 38k + 4k in in-game mail = 42k total.
- Merits: 11k
- Honor: 232k
- Dil: 1211
- ISM: 1k
- Quantum: 769
- 6 Expedition event tokens in in-game mail.
- 6 Arena tickets in in-game mail.
So, bottom percentile of what players have put up here ... but for someone who didn't hoard much until a couple of weeks ago with the introduction of the new Crew Retrieval system & credit Dabo not bad.
Honor is really the only thing I hoard, and that is because of honor sales and what I think is the too-high price of citations. Though, before honor sales were a thing, I'd cash in for a citation the second I could.
I try and save a few citations in case an amazing new crew comes along that I want to finish immediately. That's not really hoarding though.
Any other resources I have in huge numbers are ones that just aren't worth cashing in. Like the individual basic packs... I'm not hoarding them. I just can't throw them out efficiently....

I’ve been 5th once*. I assure you that I have no interest in ever trying for 1st place after that experience. I think my wrist still hurts from that click-fest! My own “hoarding” is now more a function of having less to do with the resources (episodes done years ago, only a handful of crew to level but no critical need to do so, etc.) and more ways to accumulate them than ever before. I doubt I’m alone in this amongst the hoarders. (Except honor, of course. That hoarding is deliberate, for obvious reasons.)
*I was 5th in the Galaxy Gallivanting Vash’s event, earning her at 4/5. Never got around to FF’ing her, so I was very pleased to take some pulls at the current “Business Trips” pack and get her on the 2nd one. Immortal #626 for me.

Only used 30K chronos; could have done more but only decided to really compete by Sunday night. That Monday morning was...intense. It’s possible to get in the top 10 or 5, if you pick the right event and REALLY push. But yeah, first place is out of reach of almost all players; I’ve come to accept that. So most of that achievement tree is possible, even if it’s a once a year effort.
