I find that as I have just passed 133,000 Points, that Lefler carried this thing. MAYBE got into double digits of her not being the top choice for Crafting? Second place is Burnham. over half of the ten-twenty that Lefler was not the first option.
This Burnham:
Luau Q works well there too though maybe yours is not leveled up.

He's 50 or 60. He's usually right in the top three. Sometimes beat out by the Campaign guy. Who is 80 90 and FF.

I know you don't like to level your cards, Scott. But the recurring legendary is a must to level during a month long event. It pays dividends.
I have been doing him. That is why he is 50 instead of 8. Just been slow going because of having to have Chronitons to actually do the Events.
Out of Chronitons again:
I believe you would get a better payoff if you focus on leveling these event legendaries (and also the handouts, like Luau Paris). Funneling your chronitons into them means they will be able to give you a better return - your Voyages will last longer (giving you more chrons), you'll be more competitive in events (especially Galaxies, where you'll have a higher chance of getting the rare items, which will help you rank higher, faster...and make you waste less chrons). It'll feel like a steep trade off at the start, but I truly believe you'll see the payoff FAST if you start focusing your use, especially on these crew.
I finished equipping Luau Q during the Skirmish. My rule of thumb is to finish equipping the Mega crew during the Skirmish, then look at any other crew that will really help me during the Mega and even after and go from there. I'm spending some chrons for Intel anyway.

Even at 1/4, Lefler is a better ENG than Barclay, and while a 4/4 Barclay is better at DIP than a 1/4 Lefler, Luau Q at 2/5 or 3/5 is better at DIP. The only scenario Barclay can compete is on a DIP + ENG mission, but there are no such missions in this phase 2
I really agree that Barclay is much worse than Lefler, I don't recall another event where I could not use one of the Event Crew, I believe something was bad about his stats right before the start.
The main question is: How can Lefler 1/4 FE be better on the event than Barclay FFFE? This must be a huge mistake,
BTW: Good analysis @Kanon!
I think this is often overlooked when viewing new cards - and it's understandable why. Generalists also tend to get over-shadowed if they aren't killer cards.
For example, my second recurring mega legendary was Minuet. She frequently gets a 25% crit in gauntlet, frequently has a trait lineup for antimatter on voyages, and her ship ability is a good defense against quick hammers like Killy. So she's a fantastic generalist for new players, especially starting at 4/5. But a roster doesn't require much depth before she loses most of that value. Even I stopped using her after 8-12 months. But until that point, she covered a lot of bases.

This was a first for me. I have never had a event bonus crew that we earned in the event not help eventually. But , my 3rd account 2FFE Lefler and 3FFE Luau Q. Are doing everything I do not have the 5* Zimmerman.
Edit: Not including skirmish.
Edit2: Frankly, I do not mind at all, but this is where multiple accounts or fleet members letting everyone else know, helps. I would rather use the Chron during a Galaxy for the event rather than leveling a crew.

I'm in nearly the same boat.
My Lefler is only 2/4, so isn't helping out. But I do have a FF Queen Po who has mostly muscled Barclay out. There's one place where he gets a slightly high success rate, but he shows up second in the list so I often forget to choose him.
There was one previous time, also a Galaxy I believe, where I didn't use the SR. I unfortunately can't remember which, but another case where the character had high proficiencies and low bases.
Also, my 2/5 Detective Data went unused the last time his Expedition was repeated. I certainly could have used him, but he was an emergency backup I never required.

This seemed like a really light event. I built to threshold and then turned my SR in, which usually leaves me just outside the top-1500 (just outside the top-2000 in a super competitive galaxy). In this event, that approach had me sitting around 850 with 2 hours left! I went in not overly interested in the new 5*, but since I wasn't dropping and expected to get a single copy, I wound up building a bit more to finish just inside the top 750 so I could at least get a second copy.
Interesting… your experience is the exact opposite of mine and my fleet mates, @Webberoni
My previous best Galaxy rank is 36th… but if I had posted the same VP this time I would have only finished 69th (as it was, I finished 73rd). So I had rather more squeaky bum time about finishing in top 100 to get that third star.
I also have 7 fleet mates who either missed out on the top 750 or top 1500 despite posting scores that would previously have guaranteed their goals.
I suppose it may depend on where you rank relative to the key reward milestones (e.g., 1500, 750, 100, etc.), but this my galaxy event vp-vs-rank data since the reward structure change occurred.
Rurigan is the red dot (835,170 vp, 459 rank), so my own experience suggests that this event was roughly normal from a competitive standpoint. The notable competitive outlier at rank 629 was Wyatt Earp, which suggests a novelty effect for everyone trying out the new reward structure. (Either that, or we all secretly hate the Clanton gang!)
I hit threshold and cashed in 900 an hour before and was in the top 800. I played hard and ended a bit under 700. It was really close. There was only a few thousand separating the 50 people I can see on either side of me.

So we felt this was a very competitive event!
Mostly 500k is around place 1000.
Now I had 660k and I barely made top 1000.

Thanks for that info, I love stats like that.
