For anyone not watching pace, we want to be around 2.7b by noon Eastern Standard Time (just under 16hrs from now) to clear community thresholds. It looks promising. They did well adjusting the points.
I personally should clear individual thresholds tonight yet. I'm ahead of my pace, but, as I shall be cleaning a cat bite just as soon as he lets me up (he must finally be feeling better), I might take it easy tonight.
    xhm3pmeubnt4.jpeg

Where did you get a picture of my cat?

Actually, I think that's a characture drawing of my boy's late brother, Bally.
Honestly, neither of Ves's brothers had the unpredictable and nasty temper of their Siamese father to the degree Ves does. Ray had a record with the state for biting. While Charlemagne (Charly) and Ptolemy (Bally) had bitten me and drawn blood a time or two, Vespasian is really bad about it.
Usually, about the time one heals up, he gets me again, no warning, not always sure the trigger. Went to town yesterday afternoon, bought feed and a few other things, came home, fed the chickens, threw feed to the geriatric raccoon that lives in the barn, fed the other cats, and sat down. Ves decided he wanted "Mommy Time" and plopped in my lap. I petted and fussed. He stretched out and washed his feet. Something set him off after about ten minutes and I had to use a feline choke hold to get him to release. Packed a towel in my sleeve to keep my shirt clean and he went right back to normal. He even begged for treats when he saw I had a new bag. I cleaned it up and wrapped it when he went back to his den. He's notoriously unpredictable, like I said.

There will be a push at the end. And everyone handing in rare rewards at the last minute. We'll hit the target.

In case anyone else is thinking about buying the doubling offer for Ogawa: be very mindful when you pick up the Convergence Day Quark when it's unlocked. It doesn't look like Quark will be unlocked until it's less than 24hrs before the end of the event. Since it takes the offer 24hrs to reset, from the time of activation (and depending on when your last Begold was), be mindful of that for when you collect your event rewards.

I suspect if anybody is holding back on superrares , they will be handed in tonight. Most people do not want to take a chance on a system crash tomorrow.
So we should see by tonight if we are on pace, or if an extra push is needed.

But realistically, I think there will be a surge of people just finishing the threshold rewards who just have not started playing event. So I think by tonight we should be better than the pace needed.

I have noticed that a lot of people are still handing them last minute. I always drop like 300-400 places at the end.

People will turn in tomorrow as normal. If you're going for rank you don't want to suddenly lose because someone else jumped ahead of you with a later rare turn in. The only reason to turn in tonight is if you'll be too busy tomorrow.

I concur. I expect the 10x pack will be earned with about 2-3 hours left in the event. Good luck to everyone! :)

I think we will clear it with a few minutes to spare. We are on pace for ~1.5 million VP/minute:

It is incredibly disappointing that a celebration of the game's 6th anniversary, which the players (spenders) are in a large part responsible for, is completely phoned in.

    - repeat event with repeated errors initially included in the reward table
    - old repeated 4* crew members as prizes
    - old repeated 5* crew members as prizes (Quark at least makes sense and gets a bit of a pass)
    - single pulls of the event packs, featuring old and repeated crew, as rewards

Even if the crew remained the same, it would have been nice to see the reward table greatly improved, especially since the value of packs (especially these particular event packs) have greatly diminished over the years. Many more 10x packs, possibly a mix of event packs and standard premium packs (without expanding the tiers), would have felt like more of a shared 'congrats & thank you' to the loyal players.

Ya, everyone one of those event packs should have been twice the amount they were. And, they still would have been for most useless.

On the luckier side I got with the 10x pull Convergence Day Quark. That was 550 honor in stead of the 200 I could have gotten 😉👍

This player phoned in his participation. I bailed around the 16000 threshold, and only even went that far for the easy chronitons. It seemed strange to replay the first Convergence Day this many years later. Why now? Is the plan to just recycle the five events we've had, with the second annual event replayed next year? It'd be fine for newer players but a snooze for us older ones. I don't mind zoning out for a week but it does feel deflating for that week to be the anniversary week that ought to feel special.

Like many older players, the event pack was superfluous for me. That said, I dig the idea of the threshold 10x pack being the one for the event instead of the general time portal pack and I'd welcome that becoming an expanded threshold reward at, say, the 400k mark. That would surely stoke greater participation in faction and skirmish events. I expect it would be more difficult to achieve in a faction event, but it would be possible and I think possible-but-difficult is a reasonable condition.

The good news is that we reached the 3.3B threshold. B) Congrats to all.

The meh news was the pack results (for me):
-The singles netted me an all-FF 4* behold, a 3* card, and a boatload (shipload?) of schematics.
-The 10x pack yielded 700 honor (five 3* and a Human Q) plus schematics.
-I did get to upgrade the Borg Queen vessel and Warship Voyager (both level 5), so I guess that's something.

I got pushed out of top 100 at the last minute. I tried playing on my way to work but it’s -10 out. Also my phone is a little slow. Probably should’ve aimed for 3000 trophies instead of 2500.

On the plus side community pulls were unusually generous to me:
Straight drop of CD Quark from my first single pull.
Behold that got my fifth Suspiria.
10 pull me a straight drop of Judge Q and a behold that got me a New Eden Pike.

In faction and skirmish events the event pack would give players a 45% chance of fusing the new 4*. That's valuable even after the event is over. For a skirmish event the extra star mid event doesn't matter so I'll happily take my chance after the event. And even for a faction event, I'll use a 3/4 during the event and then take my shot at the 4th copy.

But the reason it won't happen is those free packs will reduce the number of packs players buy now. And I assume the reduction in pack purchases will be more than any uptick in competing to reach 400k.

You are facing this frustration because you don’t have the legendary event crew fused to a high enough level. Personally, I don’t chase down to the highest percentage crew if there is only a few points difference. In your example a 1% increase in chance of success using Dixon Hill over Luau Q could very well make no difference in your score over the course of the event.

Sigh... this was ONE example.... of many... MANY... over the years..........................

Yeah, I wasn't thinking in terms of boosting the stats for the event crew so much as maybe being able to finish fusing them.

Probably so. A boy can dream.

I think that the most telling part about the state of this game, is that the people in charge have to be informed of the significance of a 6th anniversary.

in reality, if you were a new player, aside from the little email there was no way to tell this week apart from any other week.

Really, its a shame. a wasted opportunity mixed with a lack of enthusiasm served on a cold plate by a waitress on a pegged leg.

Even as a newer player, I was underwhelmed. I had the 3x purple event crew completed, but only 2x gold event crew at 1/5. The second star on CD Quark was useful at least, but I got nothing from the 10x single pulls (not even another purple) and of course my pack pull gave me one of the purples, so they got air locked. To add insult to injury, the 350k reward gave me my first ever purple behold where I have all 3 options FF/FE too.

Glad I got Ogawa, but scant reward for the time and resources really, especially when my crafting rewards were running quite low due to lack of gold event crew, plus the usual odds-defying failure rate.

I'd rather the auto-sort just put the 75%'er above the 74%'er.

This is the kind of basic math I can get behind.
