Now that I am eligible to post in this thread, I have a few scattered thoughts of my own.
The first two years of the game were all about clearing the Galaxy Mapp for me. Once I finished that, I felt like I had accomplished something substantial. I miss that.
Along the way of those two years, I designed my crew to compete in Faction events. Shuttle requisition tokens have obviated this, to a certain extent. I can deal with that, despite the obvious monetization of my second-favorite event type.
The next two years, I played hard & competed for cards that I liked and/or would add to my roster.
The last two years, I have been increasingly disappointed in the company's incessant efforts to monetize the acquisition of their pixels. I understand that the company is a business whose purpose is to make money, but the pop-up offers can be overwhelming and are definitely annoying, to such an extent that I sometimes choose to log in only twice per day.
There are so many things that the company could fix, but choose not to, for their own reasons. I am left with the impression that they do not honestly care about us, their players.
Going forward, I hope that the company will heed our repeated calls for a new gameplay mechanism, so that I can do something new with all of these cards.

I agree the game really ignores old players ... Like when was the last time you actually got something useful from the monthly rewards , always old and recicled crew that only day 1 players dont have . Are you VIP14? Well hurray you get two of em that go straight into the airlock ...
Quantum pass is a joke 1/3 of the monthly value if you buy quantum directly.
The objective events are a farce , with their stupid gated objectives, want me to fuse and level and immortalize something? Give me a new 4* then not one that I've had for a year or more.
Fixe the damn volume slider , it's harder to move then to spend dilitium. This wouldn't be an issue if the stupid game wouldn't turn the volume back up to max everytime you connect/disconnect a headset. Honestly after 6 years the constant droning and sharp chirps of the UI are not fun .
The hiding of the cadet challenges is still mystifying to me , but thank God arenas (that are played before reset mostly) are out there with the gauntlet.
The gauntlet is just infuriating now , way beyond stale and boring , it's always mirror matches that you loose 90% of the times. There's no real choice left in the choosing of your roster , depending on the stats it's always the same for everyone, I literally feel dirty if I have to play if an objective event dupes me into it.
The OP seems to be having some qol issues with the game I have never experienced. Maybe it’s platform specific. I have never had to hit “buy” to get a popup to go away. X does just fine. I have also never had offers pop up in the middle of the shuttle recall. I had the long standing bug that some documented and even lost a crew I did not airlock. I thought of contacting CS and decided it wasn’t worth trying to prove something that happened possibly a year earlier.
Because I play the game casually I don’t have some of the bordem issues. What mobile game are you playing 6 years later that isn’t pretty much like this? I specifically say mobile games because they are usually built on a platform at launch that doesn’t givd much room for variety. New game features are pretty much repackaged features that already exist. Played mmorpg’s back in the day for 4-5 years and gave up on those too. And those games have real actual new game play introduced annually.
I started playing the game as a bridge to new Star Trek. Once they started making new Star Trek again playing the game daily became unnecessary to me. 4 shows on tv, soon to be 5…I don’t need a daily Star Trek fix but that’s just me. This is coming from someone who watches their favorite Star Trek series in its entirety annually.

If @Britney Spheres is on board, then I am too!
Because, yes, she is that cool.
