Here are my Gauntlet drops, in case it's of any interest. I played just about daily through 2019, then began to become more infrequent. I doubt I even played half of the gauntlets last year or this so far. I've never once spent any dilithium to refresh anyone.

Love the idea of a gauntlet behold similar to the Uber campaign track.
I'd also like to see gauntlet character drops work the way scans for polestars do - where even at a ridiculous rate the percentage chance of getting a crew drop is shown in screen and slowly grows with each round played.
The worst is the duplicate drops. Air locked so many caretakers but still need red angels. Can’t they sort that out, 1st rather then bring in more crew

Looking forward to the new gauntlet card. I've been playing sporadically since it started around 5 years ago - in the close to 10,800 rounds I've done I've yet to get Guinan however I have multiples of the rest. I didn't get a gauntlet card until the Caretaker but at one point they seemed to be falling like flies, especially when Armus was the card. I did manage to get Balok pretty quickly after it was introduced and managed to get a 2nd copy pretty quickly after that. Based on that I've tried to play more often - so far this year I've gotten another Caretaker and another Armus.
Shameless self-promotion: if there's anyone looking for more advanced tactics for the gauntlet, I started a thread a few years back with the goal of crowdsourcing them. Big takeaway is that consistent play is the best way to get a higher rank. But there are a lot of other good tactics in the thread.
That extra two seconds actually is a goof balancing tool as opposed to the other Sledgehammer Crew, who are six seconds, but do less Damage when the Hammer swings.

My first Red Angel was from a box for my third win of the run. So, very first 3 box!

Here's a crazy idea I just had. What if a streak of 60(or other number) guaranteed an exclusive crew. It would give people a guaranteed way to get gauntlet crew. It would still be a random pick so it wouldn't be picking the exact crew. And if the streak number was high enough, then the Dil cost would be high enough from refreshing that WRG wouldn't be losing out by making the crew guaranteed.

Yes, along with 15 other crew. Only "Spock and I-Chaya" have more.
Definitely a sledge hammer for ship battles, will be good for Skirmish events, but the 8s init might be a miss for arena.
Klingon diplomat. Sounds about right.
They're the first gauntlet exclusive that's SEC primary.
They're easily the best CMD/SEC crew, topping Balok who only had tertiary SEC.
They're also the best ENG/SEC blowing away Gladiator Spock.
Plus with the right traits they beat EV Picard in CMD/ENG.
They should make most gauntlets and will start to create a challenge of deciding which crew to take in the gauntlet.
