A third fake Picard for me to airlock. That's just what this game needed. I really hope that this asinine fiction isn't the event 5*.
Given that the ad copy describes the event story as a conflict between Picard and Sato, who already exists as a 4*, it seems pretty likely he is. I'm disappointed by that, though not enough that it's going to dampen my enthusiasm for this mega-event. I should specify that I'm fine with a Mirror Picard. Just not that Mirror Picard.
I am completely content in getting my Gun Show Picard. I am rather surprised that a major character is becoming a recurring event reward but will nevertheless use him to crush "non-canon" complainers in future events.
My only issue is that we're getting another Mega character that is almost certainly CMD/SEC/Something instead of something with SCI/ENG/MED as a primary.
Weekly 5* will be a DIP/CMD/SEC guy again, so that everyone who did the last three mega events have practically the copy of the same guy. DB has proven to be completely without any imagination when it comes to designing a diverse crew for events. Furthermore, he will probably be a 2-stat crew with unexciting traits.
Secondly, not a single (attainable) crew of the mega event will have MED as main stat (Mirror Phlox would be someone but they would bury him deep in rank rewards in a five day Galaxy event).
The fact that 2/4 events will have 5 days blows big time too. We have too many and long events not too few. A week off would be a welcome thing, not an extension.
Furthermore, I cannot wait meeting all those Mirror-Klingon crew. I mean...we did not have a Klingon as featured crew in an entire week now. This is a situation that cannot stand any longer! Bring out the Klingons!
Not excited...will be a disappointment like the Discovery event. DB blows!

It is about time we've gotten a mirror universe event. The Mirror episodes in TOS, DS9 and Enterprise were one of the best and most memorable ever. I wouldn't mind a Captain Forest either - not to mention that the actor, Vaughn Armstrong, is probably next to Jeffrey Combs in appearances as various species in TNG, DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise.
To the people who say Mirror Universe is overplayed, I would answer that I don't think it was used nearly enough over the course of all Star Trek series. It boasts a limitless potential for great storytelling.

Same, except I liked T'Kuvma! My only complaint about him is that his stance in the artwork doesn't feel sufficiently imposing. I've loved DIS so far, and it was cool to pick up several key characters in weekly succession in October. First Officer Saru, Reinforcements Stamets, Sarek, and Lt. Ash Tyler have all become frequently assigned to my shuttle crews, so they're pulling their weight as far as I'm concerned.

The Terran Empire followed a might makes right ethos, so it makes sense that training to build that kind of physique is considered normal. In that environment, why wouldn't Soong build Data to look like his peers?

For that matter why does he need hair? Or fingernails? He was designed to be as human as possible. Its completely reasonable than an evil Dr. Soong may want to make an Android big and imposing. He doesn't NEED to be buff, but then again "our" Data had a lot of features that he doesn't NEED. Remeber what he did to Yar in "The Naked Now"?

We will see, but I have my doubts. They will probably bring 4 existing crew and if one of them will be Mirror Phlox, I would be pleasantly surprised. FFFE he is awesome at pretty much everything and even decent as shuttle crew. He also helps with two very difficult story line missions, Operation Isolate and One Future Ends, which I (obviously without MED crew to speak of) have not finished yet.
DB would make up a little for not bringing decent MED crew in ages.
I also don't want to see a single Klingon in the entire mega event.
