Not only were Picards stats higher he also had 45% crit chance so when I saw him happy critting away I was sure of the win and was about to stand up for my victory speech when somehow somewhere this lady just pulls a rabbit out of her hat....
"I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that"

Gauntlet and shuttles were designed that way that you are at a disadvantage or get fed with wrong information. There is not even something random about Gauntlet, it's so obviously based on a deterministic mechanism.
Seriously though, Gauntlet is synonymous with "You're F'd no matter what"! It's like failing 99% shuttles and succeeding 0%. You're better off gambling at a casino and probably more fun.
This is getting old, i don t need another gauntlet is sooo unfair whiner thread. Have fun folks.
I'll break the mold, then. Late in the reset, had trouble finding a MED matchup, so I took a mirror with Phlox. I figured I was cooked after seeing my opponent break 700 3 times. Then BOOM
Yep. And because people only pick matchups where they're favored they never even see the matchups where they're the underdog and win. I've recenly started to try and minimize my merit use in gauntlet which was meant playing matchups when I'm the underdog to avoid paying 50 merits. I've won my share of those matchups that I never expected to win. It's just RNG, but if you never give yourself the chance to be the underdog and win, then you think RNG always goes against you.
I actually was not intending this to be a "O the gauntlet is unfair" post but simply a "wow I didn't see that one coming" post. I am not so worried about it not being fair because I don't expect it to be. And I don't really have good ss of the other way around because I rarely try a round where I am most likely going to lose. I absolutely have luck at times where I am not expecting it but it isn't really as interesting as an outcome as the one I posted.
If we're whiners than you're a corporate zombie.
On topic:
358-730 vs 172-439, both 5%... Guess! ))) oh, funny fact, i've just used a 50 dil streak "cheat" the round before )))
Not a Native English speaker - be lenient toward me
EDIT: Cheers Nikita for that flip side screenshot. Nice!
Who do you guys think you are? What delusion makes you think that you can tell people what they should do? You are nowhere near that important.
As long as the post is not about you, move along or come up with an argument. But all you can do is be rude...guess that's all the education you have.
This is an old one, but my Kahless was at 65% vs a 5%. I couldn't believe it. Min rolls across the board to add to the pain.
I think you mean screenshots like below
- not including Critical percentages, my fatigued Bridge Officer Troi's average roll was expected to be 70 lower than the average expected roll of my opponent's Seven of Nine (i.e., cumulative over 3 rolls, my average expected result was 210 lower)
- and just to make sure I was at even greater disadvantage, I had a 25% chance to get a Critical roll, whereas my opponent had a 45% chance
And of course, I won by 80
Shortly after gauntlet was introduced, a change was made to prevent ties. Previously, a tie would be displayed with the same score and a win to the defender. It was never stated explicitly, but strongly suspected that the ties were broken by just giving a +1 to one of the rolls, resulting in a 2 score if it's a non matching skill.

This one made me laugh a little.
That's not true at all. Yeah when people are grinding the first day for merits they pick winners, but day 2, especially in the final hours and you're left with subpar matchups hoping to pull a win from nothing to get your goal.
Here is my "did that just happen?" it isnt a fair matchup, but it isnt about the matchup, it's about my highest score ever and pulling 6 crits.
I got my Guinan from one of two Boxes I opened after a Gauntlet ended. {First box I opened.}
