I feel bad for everyone who was saving rare rewards until the end of the event.

Hey, I’ve been at it for 15 months but don’t understand the strategy of saving the rares. Why save them?
For me it wasn't a strategy, more of a lottery, where can i suddenly land.
The Thrill. Turned them in half an hour before the event, ans was then competing for top 100. That thrill of knowing you're suddenly so high up almost unlocking a new achivement.
Like many others I was unable to play for about the last 15 minutes of the event, and still get the server error message while trying to restart the app. So frustrating.
Merged all threads into one, we are looking into the issue.
Compensation is the question now. That's a lot of VP down the drain from a lot of super-rare builds people had banked.

You got it. I have 10k chrons in this event, and the compensation is going to have to be commensurate with that spend.
It really wouldn't kill them to give everyone a 1/5 Mirror Troi. She has pretty solid proficiency scores but her base stats are nothing to write home about until she's 5/5.
It would be nice to have them. They’re not in my inventory, the Done button has gone, so I cannot replay them, and you say you don’t want us to open tickets.

RNG everywhere didn't intend to report something but to comment on something going on. Based on the guidlines of the engineering room it does not seem to belong here but rather they are burying it here where less people go.
people just get angry and dont think or use their heads before they lash out. And as far as devoting staff to moderating forums instead of fixing the problem, the staff moderator job isnt the one who would fix the outage anyways.

Just to be clear. I have no beef with Shan. And I understand that Shan has nothing to do with the gist of DB’s failures.
I moderate a couple forums myself, and have been caught up in cleanup efforts as well. Shan saw thread about issue and reflex merged. No biggie.

Honestly ... I don't. They had all day to do so. They do themselves no good and us other players even worse, because we all have to suffer now from the server crash.
I understand where you're coming from, but respectfully I can't agree. There's an element of gamesmanship at the key areas on the leaderboard (the very top, the 1000 rank cutoff, etc.) and hoarding those bonus rewards to some extent allows you to make a last second sprint past opponents who perhaps didn't expect it.
Does this tax the game? Certainly, though I'd have trouble imagining it being more of a problem than the quick-start method at the beginning of events. But even if it does, the onus is not on the players to avoid one of the few strategic elements in the game; the onus is on DB to keep the game online.

Ok, so they miscategorised a thread when trying to tidy up the forums. That's something that can be clarified and discussed with the mods. It's not some grand plot to pretend the game is wonderful and bug free or something.

That happens if everyone is saving their McGuffins to the latest minute and turning them in in a hurry just before the event ends and then clicky-clicky ... server goes out because of all the interactions.
Uh, no. There would have to be more people playing this game - a LOT more people - to cause that. Well. Unless, the server is being hosted on a dev’s iPhone, I suppose. 😂

I don’t think so. It’s troi or nothing. If you have her at 5* then this issue didn’t really affect you at all. You won’t lose any sleep over it.
