Compensation Archers are being mailed out according to CS.
I'm glad they're owning up to the mistake, but the communication is certainly lacking. I'm not getting any Archers. I pulled 7 times before restarting on what I guess was the second time the pack was up, but it still didn't show Archer in vault/avatar list. If they had told everyone to restart or done a push, it wouldn't be an issue. Time queries don't impact people who pulled before x time but hadn't restarted the game. And if it's just RNG that I did 24 pulls and didn't get a single featured gold, then... well... that's just yet another check in the box of "why I need to stop spending money on this hugshole game"
Well, what if we bought packs, didn't get an archer, and am not sure whether or not it was because of RNG or because he wasn't in the game yet? There's no in-game purchase history I can look at.
Hard to know if I should be submitting a ticket based on RNG. It would be great if they could just handle situations like this without a ticket since they have everything logged on their side.
These things are usually staggered. But this case is a simple one for those who purchased packs early. I think this will (and should) only go to those who purchased packs. Probably also to those who put in tickets.
I hate that people have to wait an hour after a pack is released to see if it is working correctly. Or buy it quickly so that if there is a mistake they can get compensation. DB needs to do more qa on these new packs or just re release more of existing packs. I would like some old event packs to finish up some of my crew. We havent had very many event pack re runs much lately.

What if a pack was purchased after the pack went back up but we didn't restart the game in between? If there are server changes involved it seems like we don't get that until we restart.

If you purchased a pack after they went back up on the store, you were purchasing the correctly functioning pack. A client restart was not necessary to ensure this.

Hi! There was indeed an issue for a short amount of time when the packs first went live.
I am waiting on more information on how to resolve this for players who have purchased packs during that time frame.
How should we proceed if we were affected? Send in a ticket or wait for you to post more information?

You guys also said that Musketeer La Forge not showing in the vault or avatar list was unrelated to his not dropping, so I don’t trust you on that.

Pack was put back up. No one pulled Archer. I consulted with KM, SSR, FF, TGE, AA, BL, SST, my own fleet, and many others. No one had any reports of Archer either. (Sidebar: yes we all remain in contact with each other especially because of issues such as this that arise.)
The first confirmed drop happens about an hour after the new pack is added. He isn’t maxed until the compensation Archers are sent out.
So prove me wrong. How many dropped for folks that didn’t restart? So far my evidence is 0 based on my own and my friends’ experience.
I’d like to believe you that you fixed the error right away and a restart was not required - but unfortunately trust is earned. When we flagged La Forge, you fought with us. When we flagged the new 4* not dropping, you fought with us. Now, you’re partially saying things were wrong but still asking for trust that runs contrary to player experience that you haven’t earned.
Of course, it could be that we all (and I mean all) suffered horrible RNG. That isn’t an excuse; it’s another problem with your game.

They’re two separate systems. Loot tables are all server-side. Display issues are client-side, and wouldn’t affect pack rolls.
That's interesting since we've had one weeks event packs give the last weeks crew and been told we should have restarted to assure we got correct crew drops. Or are you saying that's a different issue?
I clicked on the pack and left it open for an hour. I was screen shooting it to make fun of the art. Didn't know there was an issue with it till I read it from other fleet mates. Thought about doing a pull at about 11am but didn't want to be mad; this was an hour after it dropped. Closed the box and the pack was gone. So I could still have pulled it while it was down because I left it and the game open without a refresh.

Black Pebble, this answer sounds rather theoretical. Can you ensure us that you or one of DBs crew checked the actual drop rate of EV Archer from the moment the pack went back online? eXo | SilverRose pointed out correctly that after the pack was back an alarming high number of players and pulls did not result in a single EV Archer.

BP - In numerous past cases, it's been stated that packs can result in issues if you DON'T restart the client. Now, you're saying a client restart wasn't necessary? this seems erroneous based on past precedent .
There have also been many cases where DB has told us one thing, and the system was , in fact, doing something completely different than what DB themselves expected. See the romulan kirk issue. Someone popped into the chat rooms where a DB employee himself was sitting, posted a screenshot of his packet capture showing a shuttle bonus only showing "2x" instead of "3x" after the DB employee claimed to high heaven the bonuses were correct. Once Nod worked it out with this guy, the problem was fixed within 20 minutes. (the case of the DB employee claiming everything was fine went on for almost 2 hours)
Given the fact that just about all the top 10 fleets had NO evidence of an Archer dropping until well past 19:00 UTC, something smells fishy.
Do you have numbers on how many Archers actually dropped between 18:00 and 19:00 UTC?
