This was the event where I suffered with multiple failures of shuttles that were sent at >90%
Although I personally haven't suffered from this before I notice alot of others have. Very frustrating.
And I understand odds before the trolls start. 🙂
I never even reached the 4000 VP missions in part because of frequent failures, but also because I put in considerably less effort than usual. Though I also put in considerably less effort than usual in part because of the frequent failures, so there's that.
Simply stated, if we’re going a month with 10 or so new crew, then crew slots would be appreciated. Without more crew slots, I’m a little disappointed. Also, would be nice to have a 25 immortalized crew achievement added with all the new Vulcans.
“With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably.” Captain Picard quoting Judge Aaron Satie.
Refreshingly challenging- Less 3person shuttle missions, having to strategize more than usual.
Only frustrating part is the lack of Romulans in the "Romulan Mega Event" . My Romulans did come up as options in the shuttle missions so there is that I suppose.
I was pretty disappointed. I had most of the event crew maxed out and many other shuttle seats that were bonused, I saw very few failures thanks to burning lots of boosts, I did the new kick start where I started out with many 60/90 minute speed boosts I had been stockpiling, and I didn't really waste much time with leaving shuttles idle. I still struggled to barely hit the top 2500, when I'm usually in the top 1000.
Either we have a lot more people who are way better prepared than me competing now, or there's just that many more people willing to spend money to get ahead on shuttle events. Both options baffle my mind.

How many shuttle boosts did you use? I had 50 3* shuttle boosts available and used 20... I finished around rank #500 with minimal effort... do you run the double bonus shuttles at night during faction events?
It's another dull, mindless, month long clicking hardly a challenge. I play for only month and a half and I managed to pass 120k threshold with only two shuttles, another time. It was mostly boring experience for the moment and it has just started... It's a game. Give me something fun, something to play, entertain me. Is it too much to ask?

More shuttles and you might actually rank rather than threshold....

I'm fully aware of that but I won't spend even a buck on a casino game. They need to try much harder to make money off of me. Jeez, this game must be so easy if you buy at least a monthly card. Where is the challenge in it?

By now, you know what the game is. You've made it abundantly clear that you have little regard for the creators, the design decisions they've made, or the game itself. I have to wonder why you don't turn to a game that you would like.

There are F2Pers that have more shuttles. They have just taken the time to immortalize more crew and progress towards other achievements.

Without spending a cent I finished in the top 350, yet I still saw my actual success rates come in around ~10% lower than the posted shuttle success rates (83.7% VS 93.4%).
However, since there is really no difference between finishing 76 and finishing 750 (1/5*, 4/4*, 3/3*, 5 x premium pulls), I figured it didn't matter much by the end.
I don't often find the writing or the plot in the game very well considered. That said, I was hoping that this Vulcan and Romulan mega event would focus on reunification efforts and I particularly liked this inclusion of V'tosh ka'tur and the philosophy of mindfulness not suppression of emotion. So I was happy with how this event ended:
Additionally, Kolinahr Spock has been on my most wanted list since the before times. Thanks for adding him to the game. Others have commented about the stats and art, and I largely agree with that feedback.
We are all downstream from each other and ourselves, therefore choose to be relaxed and groovy. Consider participating in civil discourse, understanding the Tardigrade, and wandering with the Subspace Eddies.
My first Faction event where I had enough bonus crew, 3* boosts, and time to hit the top merit threshold. Due to PC, I haven't touched Surak yet, but I look forward to getting his 2nd and 3rd stars this weekend. Finishing at 2450 and getting the last 2 stars on McCoy was icing on the cake.
No romulans in equation, maybe rename the event in vulcans mega event? Beside no existing romulans like Tamalak etc.
Yea I have to say my hopes were really up on this event....I really wanted to see new Romulans but there's been nothing but Vulcans. That AND Romulans wernt even a selection for the summer mega event poll.
Its a blow to Romulan fans calling something a Vulcan/Romulan event while pumping out nothing but Vulcans. The very least you could've thrown in a few pre-existing ones like yall did with Valeris but we couldn't even get that.
Im the leader of my fleet and we are Romulan centric and this did disappoint more than a few.
For the fist time after two years of solid game play Im considering a hiatus for a while after this. I saved a butt load of dilithium and chronotons for this so yea... this event has been a let down.

Romulans and fans thereof have gotten the shaft for a loooong time. Even STO, which blows the doors off of STT as far as support for Romulans is concerned, doesn’t have a truly independent storyline for them after the (pleasantly lengthy) series of intro missions - you end up signing on for the Klingon or Federation campaigns rather than a truly separate Romulan story.
I'd like to make a suggestion for all the people sharpening their pitchforks, lighting torches, crying foul and getting ready to storm the castle in protest about the current absence of Romulan crew in the Mega Event so far.
Consider the arc of the story in the mega event, and maybe it makes sense in that context, that there haven't yet been any Romulans yet. Perhaps, there is a plan to introduce them later in the story?
This is among those things that makes the forums a really toxic place, is people assuming the worst and complaining about being slighted, based only on the possibility and not the actuality. Now feel free to argue distrust, due to past precedent if you would like, yet I would just encourage people to consider the whole signal to noise problem that these kinds of posts create.
Also, please consider reading a couple threads to see if anyone else has brought up your concerns, and if those concerns have been responded to. Such as: Key information about this week’s event: Breakthrough - 04/12, where you will find the following and much conversation about that:

I guess we will see what happens on Friday and week 3 is announced. Hope last two weeks are full of romulans. We already had so many vulcans and now we have more.
But Surak needing 78 2* IDIC's, that was kind of a challenge/downer.
??? Crew cost finder puts him at needing 37 which "feels" right to me? I thought he was pretty easy to level.
"Pretty easy to level" unless you have 6 other legendary Vulcans needing the same bloody 2* IDICs!
As for the event, kinda 'meh' so far. Love Surak as a character, but so far the overall event is somewhat lacking.
We're 80 minutes into the event and the community total is 210 million. I think people might be a little enthusiastic about this event.
Wedding T'Pol has been on many people's lists for some time. That and it's a new T'Pol, she NEVER gets new versions

That look when you realize its another single faction event........

I've got one in my squad actually.

Still two events to go! Plenty of space to add 5 Romulans and a Janeway.
The Romulans ARE coming! Expect Romulan Janeway, Romulan Burnham, Romulan Dax, Romulan O'Brien and Romulan Odo................

I think there is a plan. But it's feeling like its gonna be like 2 Roms total. (And thats only cause Shan used plural.

Which explains to whomever that was who kept complaining about it on the forums, why he is pictured smiling.
Could you please continue the petty bickering? I find it most intriguing.
