I hope it's an underwear Reed, to match underwear Tucker. Reed is in my opinion one of the least interesting Star Trek characters ever, so he needs to compensate for that.
Happy to see a new Kira, even if I probably won't be able to add her to my crew. I was a little disappointed that she wasn't featured in the DS9 mega, so this is nice.
He was bland but had his moments. He ate whatever was put in front of him but he had no problem kicking Major Hayes’ **tsk tsk**$. Reed was a quiet butt kicker. His Mirror Security stats were well deserved
I disliked Reed. He was the worst of the show in my opinion. Bad acting, boring, and not trustworthy. The actor was just gonna be in one ep of voyager but brannon braga for some inexplicable reason wanted to make him a major character on Enterprise instead. If only we could go back in time and recast his character and the captain the show would have been much better.
I thought we could all agree on Mayweather being the worst in that show, surely?

I thoroughly enjoyed Reed and feel that the writers by and large did Mayweather and Hoshi no favors for most of the show. I give Linda Park and Anthony Montgomery credit for doing their best with what they were given...which wasn’t much.
I actually enjoyed Enterprise. Story wise, it was great. Characters were sometimes less so, but very realistic. Oddly enough, the quirky oddball characters like Reed made the show. I have an admission to make here too, I disliked Tucker with a deep intensity at the start of the show. I think it was his accent and a goodly dose of prejudice on my part. But I ended up liking him a great deal and learned a bit about myself in the process.
I'm looking forward to Kira, she's one of my faves, and another Torres, who is also a character I like, and Reed. This is the first event in a while I've felt like throwing a lot of effort into. Thanks DB!
Enterprise was my favorite series, all things considered. Reed was rather dry, but that was his character--at any rate, every character is still better than Harry Kim, including the red shirts from TOS.

I agree with this. Travis and Hoshi got shafted for most of the series.

Reed reminds me of Lt. Bush from the Hornblower series.
Reliable.
Linear (so he didn't think outside of what he knew)
And very British.
(And I'm rather fond of the character, hence the avatar)
Camelot Kira should fit in nicely with our newly developed Fleet "KNIGHTS OF THE SAUCER SECTION" 😚😚
Was Kira ever on a ship with a saucer section?
Not during anything significant but yes, she was at the dinner Professor Seyetik hosted aboard the Nebula-class USS Prometheus in 'Second Sight'.
And I'm delighted for this event, and smacking myself in the head for taking a couple of pot-shots at the post-event Augment pack in hopes of getting another couple of stars on Roga (didn't even work), so I don't like my odds of getting a lucky Queen Right Hook just with the dilithium I've got left. I may need to pull out the latinum for this one. I wouldn't normally, but it's Kira.

Reliable? Even though he was section 31 and got phlox captured? And he kept going after the marine major and he got into a fist fight with him. Maybe a lot of the problems for Enterprise was the very poor dialogue written. With poor dialogue it is hard to tell if the actors are any good or not.
I think Mayweather was definitely more interesting, and likable (interesting and likable are not the same thing, after all), than Reed, even though Mayweather got so little story. Hoshi was more interesting and likable than both of them. Anyway, I think the problem with Reed was that he was supposed to be the strong, silent type, but there was nothing more to him, except that, as others have said, he was actually unreliable. In many ways, he was the opposite of Tucker, who was very emotional and outspoken (even to the point of being annoying in the beginning), but really grew a lot during the show. Mayweather was a better strong, silent type than Reed, because Mayweather still managed to show a likable personality. But maybe that's just a matter of taste.
(I think it's normal to not like Tucker for the first three episodes. Most of the humans, especially Tucker and Archer, were horribly predujiced, arrogant and annoying during the first three episodes. I wasn't even sure I'd be able to continue watching. But then they improved, and I think that was very much the point. Tucker even became one of my favourite Enterprise characters.)

From what I remember, he was only in four or five episodes, so surely he doesn't count.
He was a main character and was in just about every episode, if not all of them
Thank you for that helpful information, but as others pointed out, it was a reference to his complete lack of impact.
Sat upside-down in the pilot.
We met his mother later.
The actor tried an advanced facial expression (known in the industry as a "frown") in the mirror universe.
Oh, and he was also killed at the same time as Trip. (It's just that nobody noticed.)
Man, it’s one thing to hate on the guy but now y’all are just making stuff up. All I said was he was a main character and in nearly every episode. No one on this show was going to win an acting award but I didn’t care. I loved it and it’s still one of my favorite shows
Folks are forgetting other Trek series had multiple seasons to showcase personality, skill and character depth. Considering the main Enterprise crew:
Archer: Test pilot and Engineer to Starship Capt. A fish out of water evolving his command skills as the seasons progressed.
Tucker: Maverick Engineer, a brash out spoken chap, also second in command after Archer.
T'Pol: a pre-corrected Surak teachings Vulcan, science officer diplomatic liaison and again another fish out water evolving thru the seasons.
Reed: Stiff upper lipped straight backed British military officer assigned as ship security chief. In that portrayal the actor did a superb job of conveying that.
Sato: Civilian linguistic genius enlisted by direct request of newly appointed Archer. Awkward, shy, stay at home type. Another out of her comfort zone.
Mayweather: Helmsman with a dash of Engineering, variety of sporting interests. More could have been donw with his character and probably would have had Enterprise persisted.
Phlox: Alien doctor assigned at short notice, one of the best characters among the main crew IMO. His episodes were always intriguing to see.
Overall, the castings were good choices, and portrayed their concepts well.

Agreed. I used to think Linda Park was just sub-prime in the talent department til I saw her in a number of guest starring roles. Now I will look for her as I know she can deliver when given something to work with. Even the short-lived Women's Murder Club gave her better opportunities to show her chops.
I don't get the dislike for Reed - I liked his character - pehaps it was too British for you.
Season 1 was all about "We don't actually know much about Malcolm" - and that was the underlying trope of the character. However there are plenty of episodes you got to know Malcolm. Considering there were only 4 Seasons we got to know a Security Chief more so than a whole 3 seasons of TOS couldn't work out who the Security Chief is!
(oh yes Mondays it was Giotto, on Tuesdays it's Freeman, Wednesdays it's Pitcairn and Thursdays it's Dickerson - no need to worry about Friday or the weekend that's the Redshirt funeral day, in which all have to be in attendance)
There is perhaps one main thing that should have been improved and that is some of the scripting, in particular when Reed took over the MACOs from Major Hayes in Season 3, the scripting was very crass there.

Bonus crew:
• high bonus: event crew
• small bonus: variants of Kira, variants of Reed, and variants of Torres
The full event notes will be posted tomorrow as Wednesday is a holiday in the USA, the event will still be announced in game on Wednesday, at the usual time. Likewise for the event packs/offers.
There is no 3* Kira though. If they add a 3* Kira with high security, it would save everyone a crew slot for Sat/Sun cadets.
I've been waiting for a new Kira for quite a while and I am looking forward to this one. I also have Klingon Torres at 1/4 so I'm glad I'll get her fused up.
I disagree.
I run Kang as my alien security for sunday challenges. And pretty much everyone keeps him active for commander division in the arena anyway.
So you could possibly replace Money with an alien, but I doubt you would store Kang anyway, so you still end up with the same amount of slots used ...

Really? Plenty of people don't care about commander division in the arena. I certainly would not keep a crew active for only the commander division. I use Maquis Torres and Sniper Ezri for both Sat/Sun. Torres covers ENG and SEC, Ezri covers MED and SEC. Between the two of them and traits I can clear security nodes without wasting a slot on a dedicated SEC person for weekend cadet challenges.

She most certainly should. Hippocrates Noah counts as a sisko, and Falcon counts as an O'Brien.
An interesting milestone for me on this one.
So I don't have every single possible bonus crew for this event, but all the ones I have are all FE. I literally am as prepped as I can be before the event starts... hmm, maybe I'll go level up someone oddball... like Lily Sloan or Apollo...

I don't recall. But maybe this one will be. Ha ha ha ha. Cheerio Tally ho off we go.

I'm going to be slightly miffed if Kira is 2 stat. Hopefully she at least has some diplomacy too.
