And you really believe that the owner/ceo/whatever of TP is swimming in gold coins a la Scrooge McDuck? Come on, man. You should have learned at about age 8 that there is no boogie man.
When did Data get demoted? I thought he was a lt. commander the whole series. The flavor text calls him a lieutenant.
I took my one pack and got Paris, of course, so I'm staying out of the 5* discussion. Don't have the two for the event and likely won't get Carlos Data with stats like that. I barely got Riker Odan, my only ranked gold, during the rerun and there wasn't much competition.
Would have liked a Lorca at the 400k mark or the Mutated Paris in rewards to even finish mine, but I getting to the point I can do a decent voyage and shuttles at the same time, so maybe I can pick up stars there. Been almost consistently hitting 8hrs and getting a 4* or two and FF several crew that way lately.
I have none of the fusable 4*s done alone. I don't even have one of the Bynars. He's one of the dozen 4* crew in the portal I'm missing. At least, my new Paris will be 4/4.

This thread was posted on November 13th. It was clear from the first post that there was no existing 4*. There was plenty of time to encourage you to get the 5* at that point.
And even if you don't have Seska, it's a skirmish so you only need 1 bonus crew. You'll earn a free copy of the new Paris very quickly.

For what it’s worth, you can get an event Paris at 6500 points which you can get in about five minutes of play and less than two rounds of skirmishes. It is frustrating though and I can see that but using a bonus crew you should only lose a few thousand points.
Since we are only getting three copies of Paris, Seska may not be FF for a lot of people, and not everyone has Lorca or has him FF, a pack could be a worth it. I pulled one, got Paris, and thus he will end at 4/4 and I will start with the crew bonus, since I won't have the ship bonus. I wish it would drop a bundle of schematics as an option between rounds.

actually it's the other way. You will note that Picard often refers to Lt. Cmdr Data as "Commander Data".
Encounter at Farpoint, Riker calls Troi a Lieutenant when she was clearly wearing lieutenant commander pips.
