You and me both. I have my Section 31 down to 30 secs a mission so I plan on stacking them deep this week/month.

check his traits ... nope ... and his skills are kinda useless in a skirmish ... EDIT: as it is a skirmish you can just slot him lvl1 into one slot to still get max bonus and your good crew in the others.
Yeah, definitely always appreciate having existing crew in events this big, but this seemed like his time to shine. Also curious that they are advertising one of the existing crew in their big ad for the mega.

Security doesn't make any sense, nor do I see Medical in anyway.
The more I thought about it, Medical might make a little sense in the the counselor sense, as she was analyzing Riker and Picard.
Might be able to justify Engineering or Science at some small level since she was aware she was a hologram and was able to make manipulations to her program (e.g. accessing ships database to speak French).

Medical justification.
Keeping in mind the theme of the mega and the episode this version of the Doctor is taken from it makes sense though. Cause it was about his holonovel, the way humans may regard holograms (and vice versa), their rights etc.

The first event is a Hybrid. But I'm with you on how there's no expedition.

I'm likin this Mega, especially all the new characters. Does anyone concur the Minuet will be the 5* mega character?
Careful with those assumptions. Remember that Author Doc who is also shown is a 4*.
I meant to say, not even an expedition hybrid, which is something DB had said they would still do from time to time rather than the full expedition events.
They normally preview the featured recurring 5* in a similar way to this, so I’d say yes. But, precedent often doesn’t matter to DB so anything is possible.
Not only that ... but citing small bonus crew if they are part of a Galaxy event (i.e. week 2) is risky ... especially as Holograms have a bonus for the mega. There's usually only limited crew that are useful, with most often the mega-event 5* and the three specific event crew being in that category.
EDIT: the same goes for a Skirmish event ... where all but 1 of the event crew is useless kinda ... you can just put a lvl 1 1/4 specific event crew into a slot on your vessel and still get max VP bonus for each battle if they meet the trait requirements (e.g. as was the case for Kal-if-fee Spock - I had him on my Borg Cube but hardly ever used his ability - winning each battle with ease due to the other 3 crew present on board).
