Already started running Sec 31 when the teaser showed up yesterday....
You and me both. I have my Section 31 down to 30 secs a mission so I plan on stacking them deep this week/month.
Wait. How do you have your Section 31 shuttles down to 30 seconds each?
Intentionally fail shuttles until the difficulty lowers. If you crash it down all the way, you end up at 30 seconds. It takes about a week, give or take a few days. Not only are the missions short, but the most basic faction items (like 0* holoprograms here) drop much more frequently.

Moronic design that you have to do this, but I've done the same and feel it completely pays off.
*crosses fingers for new Distress Calls on Infinity to be released, and have holoprograms*
With Cadet Challenges, replication and the Section 31 shuttles we have quite a few options to get them already. Since they are needed often in quite weeks I regularly load up on them. Have 295 right now - and will produce more for the event...

and people say DB hasn't done anything to make this game better!

Also by now where we can double the goods from the Cadet Challenges we can quite comfy stock up on certain items...
The double up on cadets is sweet! I’m very much in favor of it!
I'm still lost on knowing when the double-up is applicable and not. I was expecting it was anytime you got the "free warp" showing up that the double-up would also show up, but sometimes it doesn't.
Admiral of the Haus of GaghGagh, Starbase level 94, we are not accepting members at this time.
Captain of the voyage vessels: Queen of Bashir, Landsknecht, and Sunspear, the first luxury starship cruiseliners.
Amenities include wifi, fully-functioning holodecks, a full-service bar, 3 party decks, a Trill spa, and a business centre.
Fun fact: The ships are propelled by bouncy castle technology.
I only do it for cadets. There’s an hour cool down so I’ll do the first mission at midnight, next one about 1:15 and so on. As for regular missions you can’t do both. You either ad warp then done or run it using chrons then do the double up of what you got
We also need Jean-Luc Riker. He was a holographic overlay over an alien child and should count as a hologram. Plus he was in one of the two Minuet episodes.
I don’t understand why many comments I’ve read seem to think any new crew in this mega must be holograms.
Sure, that’s a running theme for bonus, but we’re just as likely to see a new flesh and blood crew person (who has fallen to holo-addiction, as per the event story). The pictured, Suited Nog isn’t a hologram.

Personally I am not assuming we'll be inundated with holograms but I always prefer to be safe than sorry. It could also be an old boy scout trait...always "be prepared".

True, probably only a third of the crew will be holograms and many of those ones we already have. DB gets me every time with this. They make a theme and then do very few characters from that theme, half of which are crew already in game.

Already complaining about the lack of theme fitness ... 9 days prior. Well done on jumping the proverbial starting gun. LLAP

Apollo is a master in this. If not at least 3/4 of the weekly characters will be holograms it will get worse and he will cry, stomp on the ground and complain all day Well, in case he is not yet an adult he is forgiven

Yes, we shouldn’t complain ahead of time, but DB does have a bad track record that makes it likely he’s right. Let’s hope this mega breaks the streak

Honestly, I don’t care. The semantics debates in these Forums have started to be noxious to me.
I wish everyone all the best.

It's a long shot, but if Captain Proton's going to be involved, maybe we could have a semi-canon Seven-as-Constance-Goodheart where Paris somehow talked her into the costume? (I mean, we could just get 'default' Constance, but she didn't really do much, Constance Seven was a lot more fun in five seconds, just dress her up to make her more visually distinct so she's not just 'regular Seven in b&w'.)
Crew with the Hologram trait, in case it's of help to anyone.

Well, part one is a cracker with a slew of awesome looking cards directly on point, so I'm not too worried personally. I think they've thought this one through. Could turn out to be one of the best, if not the best, mega event yet. It's a great idea straight out if left-field, no-one expected it and I personally think it's pretty epic so far. It's going to be tough with all that chron requirement but we have more available than ever before so it's manageable.
Really looking forward to this, and so is the rest of my fleet!
I for one am stoked for this. The characters in the teaser art are all fantastic and mostly new, and the art is On Point. Some really great concepts for previous Megas have turned out a bit disappointing (*cough* Dominion event *cough*), but this is shaping up to be the most exciting iteration since last year's mirror universe event.

Early bird gets the worm. Hehe. I am just having fun. Whether DB puts in lots of holograms or not will not bother me. They are giving me Tuxedo Nog so I am happy.
You just wait... Gloria/Guinan nor Tuxedo Nog are actually not holograms and probably shouldn’t have that trait so regardless of which is the new 5* or threshold 4*, you know what’s next...
Cue complaint thread:
DB, none of the new event characters other than the Mega Minuet will be useful for the rest of the event... whine, moan, faux outrage... sharpen pitchforks, light torches.
This sort of thing is pretty much guaranteed at this point in the forums... I’ll tag this once that thread gets posted.

Just like the last Mega where I panicked and stacked up on Dominion pads and hardly used any.

I did this also. I figure running section 31 and replicating a few per day on top of that will help ease the pain.
Thank you!

I hope we get Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking and Isaac Newton. But If we can only have one we should definitely have Stephen Hawking.
